Down Syndrome baby leaves the hospital:
Mom thankful to Gateway for help
Maria* has her daughter Jessy Camilla with Down
Syndrome. She decided to have her baby, despite the fact
that the father of the girl and her other children did not
agree!! Glory to GOD , Jessy left the Hospital, after
several months in intensive care!! She is very grateful to
Gateway for the help received, including the much-needed
baby playpen. Tanya, Gateway’s Client Services Director
writes: “I told her to receive everything from our
ALMIGHTY GOD, who loves them and will never abandon
them! I also invited her to my Church!!’ Angelica wrote us:
El señor los bendiga ah todos ustedes. (May the Lord bless
all of you.)
Diana age 23 was
originally seen by
Carmita. Baby Jared
was born March 20,
2022. Diana returned
for a baby gift and
trusted Christ
February 6th.
Changed
mind on
abortion
Theresa* age 19 is from the Dominican
Republic. Her boyfriend Luis* is 21 and
from Ecuador. She visited us last May and
spoke with JoAnn. Her boyfriend wanted her
to have an abortion, but she said that she
would not. She told her parents and she feels
settled with the situation. Michael spoke with
Luis and encouraged him to have this baby.
Again, months passed and finally in
February 2023 we found out that Theresa
had baby Alaia on December 22nd. We gave
her a baby gift in a subsequent visit and
Tanya invited her to church.

Kerry* age 20 lives with her parents. She
also visited us last May and spoke with
Blanca. Her boyfriend wanted her to take the
abortion pill. She was afraid, not knowing the
reaction of her parents. She was afraid of not
meeting her goals if she had this child. Blanca
shared the Scriptures with her. She made a
profession of faith in Christ. We lost track of
her over the next few months. When we
reconnected in February, Kerry said that she
had baby Avilin on December 31st. She came
in for a baby gift and told Tanya that she was
attending school online and planned to attend
church.

Daphne (l) is a believer from Haiti and

just moved to NJ from Delaware, where
she had baby Legacy on October 30th.
Along with pregnancy counseling and a
baby gift, we helped her with a church
referral. Francis (r) is from Honduras,
and had baby boy Ilal on January 24th.
