LESSON 4: COMMUNICATION

Giving suggestions

I. Objectives

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- learn how to give suggestions

- practice using some grammar points and vocabulary related to the topic My
House

II. Teaching aids

- Teacher: textbook, laptop, projector, board, chalk

- Students: textbook, notebook, pen,...

III. Anticipated problems and solutions

1. Problems

- Some students may lack confidence when speaking in front of class

- Students often make mistake in pronunciation: incorrect pronunciation, lack


of word stress and sentence intonation

2. Solutions

- Call on students to stand up to read the dialogue, and practice speaking in


pairs in front of class

- Help students to correct pronunciation errors in the learning process

Game: Pictures describing Listen to the teacher’s


instruction and do the requests.
- Teacher shows the picture of Nam’s house and asks
students to describe as many things in the picture as
possible.
