I. Below is the summary of the training needs assessment of teachers in relation to PPST based on the
IPCRF’s individual development plan.

The following are the top 3 developmental needs of the teachers based on their individual
development plan:
1. Using a range of teaching strategies that enhance learner achievement in literacy and
numeracy skills. (PPST 1.4)
2. Managing learner behavior constructively by applying positive and non-violent discipline to
ensure learning focused environments. (PPST 2.6)
3. Applying a range of teaching strategies to develop critical and creative thinking, as well as
other higher order thinking skills. (PPST 1.5)

II. Recommendations/Proposed Interventions:


The above needs are of highest importance for teachers to be trained in now that face-to-face
learning modality is back. As a result, we looked for topics in the LAC Shareable Content Materials that
correspond to the needs of the teachers. As a result, teachers will be reenergized and retrained through
the school learning action cell (LAC) session.
