something better as a whole.
5. Balance is arranging the elements in a piece so that there is an
equality from one side to the other.

Concepts of Photography

1. Aperture - defines how large the hole is through which the sensor sees the world. It
measured in units called F-stop number. The smaller F-number is the larger the aperture
hole is, and the more light reaches the sensor. The bigger F number the smaller the aperture
hole is, and the less light comes in.
2. Shutter Speed – it is the time while the shutter curtain is open, exposing the sensor to light.
Controls how long it takes for light to enter the camera. The bigger the number, the faster
the shutter speed, and the less the light enter the camera. The smaller the number the
slower the shutter speed, and the more light enter the camera. Shutter speed controls the
motion and movement. It gives you the option to freeze the moving object or allow a
creative blur to show that it was moving.
3. ISO Sensitivity – it is an acronym for INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS ORGANIZATION. It
defines how sensitive the camera sensor is to light. With the same amount of available light,
the higher the ISO sensitivity is, the more light will be captured by the sensor. It gives you a
better ability to shot in low light even without using a flash.
