Problem and It’s Background

Introduction

In today's generation, technology plays an important role in people's

lives. One aspect is in education. Technology helps improve the learning process
and activities in school. It helps students have an easy access to information by
using different modern technology. It makes the work easier and less time
consuming.

Technology also helps teachers in class discussion. Teachers act as

facilitator in providing information by using modern technology such as
computers, projectors and sound system, etc. It's easier for them to interact with
students by the use of technology. Students become more active in school and
they cooperate in everyday discussion. They become more independent in
learning by using the modern technology. Searching information, learning new
skills and enjoying the process are some of the benefits of modern technology.

We conduct this research regarding the effects of ICT-Based instruction

in English subjects of grade 8 students in CTVS city of Malabon because
teachers and students are facing the enormous challenge in our society due to
the rapid expansion of knowledge the modern technologies are demanding that
teachers learn how to use this technologies in their teaching. In education using
technology has the potential to increase access to education and improve its
relevance and quality. There are many importance of modern technology first for
active learning basically it helps for the calculation and analysis of information
obtained for examination and students performance in reports are all being
computerize and made easily available for inquiry.
This modern technologies encourages interaction and cooperation among
students, teachers regardless of distance between them. It is also provides
students the chance to work with people from different cultures and working
together in groups. It is also helps students to enhance communicative skills as
well as awareness to global society. Researchers have found that typically the
use of modern technology needs to more cooperation among learners with in
beyond school and there interactive relationship between students and teachers.

It has to be understood that visual explanation of concepts makes

learning fun and enjoyable for students. They’re able to participate more in
the classroom and even teachers get a chance to make their classes more
interactive and interesting.

Teachers in many countries are now using a new way of teaching using
the ICT - BASED INSTRUCTIONS, we all know for the fact that when we think
about ICT "computers" is the technology that first come into are mind. ICT has its
potential to enhance and to develop the skills of every students and it helps them
to easily analyze every problems what the teachers given to them. The teachers
will prepare their instructional material for the students, for them to participate
more and to enjoy their lesson very well. This research is to know the help of ICT
based instructions of the teachers to the grade 8 students and how the teachers
change their way of teaching using the modern technology.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The history of Modern Technology, technology is the invention of tools or

equipment for easy communicate of other people, if far or near. It is also used for
Mobile Learning, True mobile learning has been around for close to a decade,
right around the time when the first smart phone and tablet (Apple) were
introduced and opened up a new world of possibilities for training and education.
ICT-BASED or Information and Communications Technology. Information
Technology (IT) means a term use to describe the items of equipment (hardware)
and computer program (software) that allow us to access, retrieve, store,
organize, manipulate, and present information by electronic means.
Communication Technology (CT) it describe telecommunications equipment
through which information can be sought and accessed, for example, phones,
and computers.

I think that schools and policy makers mean well in their ‘revolution’ of
digital education, however there is still a lot of misinformation and
miscommunication between parties. Teachers like to know/see value in changing
their teaching practice, and I feel that without hard evidence, teachers are often
reluctant to adopt a new approach. Teacher’s lack time, and often feel a
disconnect with academic institutions., I have been overwhelmed by the literature
relating to ICT integration in education. If only teachers had the time and the
drive to read about the benefits ICT can bring to curriculum and pedagogy.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

While conducting this study, theories have entered. This research was
particularly made through major observation on daily basis. With that being said,
this research is made to determine the main factor of using ICT-Based Instruction
in their lesson on English subject. This research is believed to help both the
teacher and the student. The teacher can use this research to know if the ICT-
Based is helpful or not to the student. Meanwhile, students can use the study to
have a idea to their lesson and to have acknowledge on how teacher use this.
Using this research we know the advantages and disadvantages of ICT-Based
Instruction to the teacher and to the student.

LOCAL LITERATURE

According to Magulod, G.C, Jr. (2019) When combined, education and

technology can build dynamic teaching and learning experiences that are tailored
to developing and transforming the educators and learners needed to power the
digital economy. For some reasons, however, there is still a big chunk of people
especially students who aren’t ready yet to embrace the technological change in
the field of education. This study aims to determine the factors affecting students’
e-learning technology acceptance particularly on Learning Management Systems
(LMS)in the Filipino context. A conceptual model was proposed based on the
Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) which was extended through the inclusion
of Internet Connectivity Experience(ICE), Social Media Influence (SMI),
Integrated Multimedia Instruction (IMI), System Interactivity(SI) and Perceived
Quality Work of Life (PQWL) as additional predictor values. The constructs were
determined according to the three-tier use model (3TUM) which was
characterized to explore users’ attitudes towards IT at three levels. The target
population in this research was Filipino students from colleges that are
considered as promoters of learning integration in the educational sphere in the
Philippines. The collected data from 629 Filipino college students were analyzed
using structural equation modeling (SEM) technique based on AMOS methods.
Finally, a path model was created to examine the relationships between the
factors to explain students’ adoption of e-learning technology from the
information systems acceptance point of view. As a result, it provided practical
and technical implications applicable for local and global school environments
that could help educational leaders, educational technologists, educators and
learners in their development, implementation, and acceptance of e-learning
technology like LMS.
FOREIGN LITERATURE

According to Abbas PourhoseinGilakjani (2017), the use of technology helps

learners to get involved and learn based on their interests. It has been
extensively accepted for teaching English in the modern world. Technology
satisfies both visual and auditory senses of the learners (Solanki&Shyamleel,
2012). Kimwise and Mugabirwe (2018) opined that several studies in thewhole
world have shown that the appropriate use of multimedia technology in
educational contextwould provide quite a lot of benefits. Friggard (2002), Miner
(2004) and Timucin (2006) confirmed that technology increases the development
of teaching methods and learners’ knowledge. Lamand Lawrence [6] also
expressed that technology helps learners to regulate their own learning process
and have access to any information that their teachers cannot provide. Gilakjani
(2013)elaborated that the unique opportunities technologies provide have
brought about new tools, approaches and strategies in the teaching and learning
of language skills. Technologies areincreasingly widespread, impacting many
aspects of our social and work lives and many of our leisure activities. Many
researchers stated that technology can be used as an instructional tool
inteaching and learning skills. Bruce and Levin (2001) expressed that technology
can be useful inthe classroom by helping communication, making teaching
products and assisting learners’ self-expression. According to Gilakjani (2017),
when we talk about instruction, education or training issues we have to consider
the important role of technology. The researchers continued that the application
of technologies in education opens a new area of knowledge and provides a tool
that has a great potential to change the existing teaching methods. The use of
computer in teaching a foreign language is not limited to classroom activities.
Various researchers offer options for the use of Internet technologies in the
classroom and in extracurricular work of students. For example, the use of ICT in
teaching foreign languages is considered in the works of Russian andKazakh
scientists such as Artykbayeva (2014), Nurgalieva (2002), Kapezovich and
Toktarbekovna (2014) and Myamesheva (2015). A promising direction in the
study is the use of Internet technologies, various aspects of which are devoted to
many publications. In recent years, teachers have been attracted to the mass
open online courses (MOOC) as a new form of online education, since they allow
anyone to learn practical training, regardless of time and location. The question
of formation of the content of foreign language teaching methods in universities
has received plenty of attention from scientists. On the scope of application of
ICT in teaching foreign.
