ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The researchers could not have done this study by themselves. Several people helped
them to reach their goals. Because of their help and support, they were able to finish this study
and the researchers would like to acknowledge them.

First and foremost, they would like to thank the Almighty God for guiding them
throughout the whole study. They also thank him for his blessings. It was because of Him that
the researchers were physically, mentally and spiritually ready in conducting this study.

Next, they would like to acknowledge their English subject teacher, Mrs. Ria Joy D.
Adora, and their Research subject teacher Mrs. Merly A. Razon for guiding them on their every
step of their study. It is them who made this study precise as much as possible.

They would also like to thank their friends for helping them in different ways, like
helping in detecting errors in their work, finishing something that they were unable to do alone,
and many other ways from the start of the study until the end.

Lastly, the researchers are very thankful to their parents for supporting them on
conducting their study. They were very helpful to them, especially with taking care of the
expenses of the researchers, giving a hand in making their product, and sharing their own ideas
to them on what would be the best thing to do and how they would further improve their study.

I. INTRODUCTION

A. Background Information
Technology that is made use of in the classroom is very beneficial in helping the students
understand and absorb what they are being taught. For instance, since there are a number of
students who are visual learners, projection screens connected to computers could be put in
classrooms to let the students see their notes as opposed to simply sitting down and listening to
the instructor teach.
There is a number of very good software that can be used to supplement the class
curriculum. The programs make available to students’ quizzes, tests, activities and study
questions that could help the students continue with the learning process when they are out of the
classroom. Today, technology has been incorporated into a good number of curriculums even
those that do not belong to the technology and computer classes. Students make use of computers
to come up with presentations and also make use of the internet to carry out research on a variety
of topics for their essays and papers.
Students also get to know how to use the technology available in the world today through
the tech and computer classes. This gives the guarantee that following their graduation, the
students will not have any difficulties with using technology when they are out there in the work
place, which might serve to make them more competitive compared to an individual who has no
access to a certain software or technology in school
With the continuing advances in the technological world, students are getting improved
access to such educational opportunities. Every time something better and 'new' is brought into
the market, the price of the existing technology is decreased which makes it much more
accessible in the educational setting even to those schools that might not have a lot of financial
resources available to them.
Technology has greatly grown to the point that it is also available today to assist those
kids who are yet to begin school. There are a number of educational systems and video games for
the small children that assist them in getting ready for school and in a number of situations also
give them a head start on their education.
There are a number of people who are of the opinion that technology 'spoils children. For
instance, as opposed to sitting down and getting to know how to count, they will opt to get a
calculator. Despite the fact that there are people who are making these arguments, technology
still remains to be a very vital component of the society we live in today.
By introducing it into our schools and classrooms, we will ensure that the students are
equipped with much better tools and knowledge to make their transition from school to the work
place a very easy one. We need to face the truth, technology is the 'in thing' in the world today
and it has become necessary in each and every aspect of our lives and education has without

doubt not been left behind. It is very useful in providing more knowledge to our students and
also on making them competitive in the job market.

B. Objectives of the Study

This study is intended to have inform to development of a strategy for digital learning
and teaching. As a consequence, its overall aims are to:
* Identify evidence of the ways in which digital learning and teaching supports improved
outcomes for learners.
*Identify the conditions that lead to successful implementation of digital learning.
*Identify the impacts of using digital technology has on learning in schools.

C. Significance of the Study

The Researchers' study aims:
1. To give the students easier access for gaining knowledge through technology
2. To inform the students about the advantages and disadvantages of technology.
3. To identify the conditions that lead to successful implementation of digital learning.

D. Related Literature
Computer-based technology has infiltrated many aspects of life and industry, yet there is
little understanding of how it can be used to promote student engagement, a concept receiving
strong attention in higher education due to its association with a number of positive academic
outcomes.
The purpose of this article is to present a critical review of the literature from the past 5
years related to how web-conferencing software, blogs, wikis, social networking sites (Facebook
and Twitter), and digital games influence student engagement.
We prefaced the findings with a substantive overview of student engagement definitions
and indicators, which revealed three types of engagement (behavioral, emotional, and cognitive)
that informed how we classified articles.
Our findings suggest that digital games provide the most far-reaching influence across
different types of student engagement, followed by web-conferencing and Facebook. Findings
regarding wikis, blogs, and Twitter are less conclusive and significantly limited in number of
studies conducted within the past 5 years.

Overall, the findings provide preliminary support that computer-based technology

influences student engagement, however, additional research is needed to confirm and build on
these findings.
We conclude the article by providing a list of recommendations for practice, with the
intent of increasing understanding of how computer-based technology may be purposefully
implemented to achieve the greatest gains in student engagement.

II. BODY
Technological equipments to improve study, learning, and research environments.
Technology is not a substitute for great teaching, but it can improve the learning processes in any
of the educational stages, from child education to university or post-university. Interactive
screens and projectors, accessories for whiteboards and digital displays, collaborative learning
centers, interactive response systems, capture cameras and 3D, as well as software for
collaborative learning, conferences and virtual classrooms or classroom management software
and training.
Educational technology equipment constantly changes, and it can be hard to stay up to
date without breaking your budget. You'll find digital projectors, visual presenters and electronic
whiteboards that let you create versatile lessons while keeping students engaged, as well as
netbook computers, interactive learning aids, educational software and more.
After conducting the survey, the Researchers' have gathered the data.

93.33 % said that the use of technological equipments for educational purposes helped
them improve with their school works. Whereas 6.67% said it doesn't help them.

III. CONCLUSION
Successful utilization of digital technology depends not just upon sufficient access to
equipment, tools and resources, but also on the availability of sufficient training, and knowledge
and support networks for teachers.
Providing teachers with this support will allow them to understand the benefits and
applications of digital technologies and enable them to use digital technologies effectively. If
these needs are met, then the literature provides strong evidence that use of digital technologies
can aid learning and teaching, as well as enhance the ability of some children to learn effectively.
In particular, there is:
• Conclusive evidence that digital technologies can support educational attainment in general
(and in math and science particularly);
• Indicative evidence that it can support educational attainment in literacy and help close
the gap in attainment between groups of learners; and
• Promising evidence that digital technologies can provide assistance to overcoming the
challenges faced by some learners; improvements in employability skills and knowledge
of career pathways; improved communications with parents; and time efficiencies for
teachers.
