INTRODUCTION
Technology plays vital role in our daily lives. These include electronic games, home computers,
handheld devices, and different type of gadgets. Gadgets are popular in children and as likely in
students. The use of gadgets in students is not only used as a means of communication but there
are some students who often play gadgets instead of studying. According to Sundus M*(2017)
“They spend most of their time in playing online games, watching video and browsing different
websites and don’t pay attention to their education.”. But there are also have an positive impact of
using gadget to the students. They use it in searching, making a report, etch. The more they use
the gadget, the more ideas and innovations they can come up with.
According to Jim Collison(2023) “The use of gadgets such as tablets, laptops, and smartphones
has revolutionized the way we learn and has made the process of researching and completing
homework much easier and more efficient.” With so much information and help online, no student
is foreign to searching for their respective fields and getting proficient in them. With increasing
advances in technology, the more students use it, the more they will be better equally to handle the
technicalities that they will face in their practical lives after their studies.
This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the positive and negative impacts of
gadgets on students. While gadgets offer numerous benefits such as easy access to information,
improved communication, and enhanced productivity, they also pose challenges in terms of
distraction, health consequences, and potential limitations on critical thinking skills. By
understanding these impacts, educators, parents, and policymakers can work together to establish
guidelines and strategies that maximize the positive effects while mitigating the negative aspects of
gadget use among students. The purpose of this study is to describes the positive and negative
impact of gadgets on students.
STUDENT. This study will help students to know more the bad and good effect of using gadgets
and it's impact to their performance at school.
PARENTS. This study will help parents to be aware on how long they must let their children used
gadgets.
TEACHER. This study will beneficial to the teacher as it provides information that will help for them
to better facilitate their classroom especially when using gadgets in to their teaching.
FUTURE RESEARCHER. The data gathered in the study can serve as source of information to
further improve their study

IMPACT. Effect of this study to the students, teacher, and parents.
ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE. is the measure of a student's achievement in a particular subject or
area of study. It is typically measured by grades, test scores, and other assessments.
STUDY HABIT. is a regular and consistent way of studying that helps a student to learn more
effectively and efficiently. Good study habits can help students to stay organized, focused, and
motivated
ACADEMIC INTEREST. is a student's curiosity and passion for learning about a particular subject
or topic. It is a driving force that motivates them to learn more, explore new ideas, and take on
challenges. Academic interest for me it is giving and preparing you a background what you want to
pursue in your college
TIME MANAGEMENT. is the process of planning and controlling how one spends their time. It is a
skill that can be learned and improved with practice.
