UNIT EXAM

3º. BÁSICO

Topics will have a number and each student will pick a number from a vase. Then they
will decide how they will represent that topic. Here are the forms that they can choose:
• Comic strip with dialogues and narrations
• Adventure story with illustrations
• Mental Map (remember that it has to have illustrations)
• Advertisement of a trip (include places to visit and illustrations)
My suggestion is that students read again the topics at home and add more information
in their notebooks, if it’s necessary, because they will only be able to consult their
notebooks.
Topics:
1. Earth’s Rotation and Revolution p. 34-35
2. Earth’s Complex Structure p. 36-37
3. Earth’s Landforms p. 38-39
4. The Ring of Fire p. 40-41
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
• Consult only your notebook to make your project.
• Choose from the list that is at the beginning of the document the form on how you
will do your project.
• The first day, you will pick a number to find out which topic you will develop and
we will read the instructions together to solve questions.
• You cannot take your project at home; your teacher will keep it for you and return
it the next class. If you think that there are things with a lot of detail, you can go
ahead at home and then add it in class. You can also add more information in your
notebook if you think that it will enrich your project.
• Avoid borrowing materials because you will lose valuable time and you will also
distract your classmates.
• Print the aspects of evaluation and paste it in the back of
your project.
SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Include 4 to 5 facts of your topic, you need to highlight those facts. (If
you write more, it will be okay.)
2. Avoid spelling mistakes. (3 mistakes will be okay.) If you don’t know
how to write a word, you can consult it in a dictionary.
3. Grammar structure and punctuation are important, be careful with that.
4. Legible letter is very important. If I don’t understand a word, a phrase
or a sentence, you will have points less.
5. Drawings are nice and colored. If you want to print your illustrations,
they must be well printed, well-trimmed, and well glued.
6. Project has to be in order and neat.
7. To deliver the final project, check that it is clean, without pencil traces,
and that the information is written with a pen or fine-tipped marker.
8. Every day I will sign what you have worked in class.
Aspects that will be evaluated:
