1. Consider any organization manufacturing or service and try to examine their experience in
managing quality?
A flower farming company has very strict rules for quality, because there are many costs
incurred before it reaches to the final market or customers. As its perishable it will be damage
easily. Therefore there are basic steps for quality management from the beginning planting the
plants,
- Select the best varieties
- Keep them in healthy condition in the farm
- Keep all tools and facilities clean and sanitized
- Prior to harvest plants should be checked if its not under quality ( length of the stem
and healthiness of the flowers
- Keep flowers in cool area
- Use clean water
- Use effective flower food solutions
- Maintain cold conditions until the final destination as much as possible
- Have guid line or broachers how to handle the product after delivery of the goods for
long time vas life
- Provide customers with flower food
A complete set of care and handling guidelines is there for each department in the
company.
