We all know that, there are people who will not treat us fair, especially

when you are a woman. Most men believe that, if you’re a woman you are weak

and should be in staying inside the house like, taking care of the kids.

However, in this generation, both of the parents should work or have a job for

their family because, if its only the man or the father it is not enough to buy

their daily needs. When women find a job, they face less job opportunity, they

are being discriminated and it may be because, of their background, skin color,

where they came from etc. Were just thankful that there are still people who

will help women and believe that men and women should have equal rights and

opportunities, and that kind of people are called feminist.

What I have learned about the feminist theory is that, it is a kind of

movement that they are raising about social rights for women, equal

opportunities in education and employment because, most of the women are

being treated unfairly. I’ve also learned that Charles Fourier is the one who

coined the word “feminism” in 1837 because, he also believed that all

important jobs should be open for women. So, in short, he is feminist. In

feminist theory, I’ve also learned that there are 3 kinds of waves. These 3 waves

are called feminist movement and what I have understand about these 3 waves

is that, in first wave the women are promoting about women’s right to vote, in

second wave the women’s are raising campaign for legal and social equality for

women and in the last wave, was just the continuation of second wave but, it

was also about the legality of abortion. For my own opinion about the third

wave, abortion should not be legal because, it is a sin. In feminist theory there
are also 4 basic principles in feminism which is the working to increase

equality, expanding human choice, eliminating gender stratification, and

ending sexual violence and promoting sexual freedom. As what I have

understand and learned about these 4 basic principles in feminism is that,

feminist is pushing for the change for gender equality, freedom about

developing of their talents and interest because, also women can do what men

can. Also, feminist is against in the limit of job opportunities and income.

Feminist believe that, women should be respected and have the freedom and

control of their sexuality and reproduction. There are also 3 types of feminist

which are the, liberal feminism, social feminism and radical feminism. These 3

types of feminist are all about equality and fair.

In conclusion, feminist theory is a theory that will help the women to not

lose hope about being treated unfairly in different aspect of life because, there

feminist that who will fight for their rights. It is also a theory that will

encourage the women that they have the freedom to choose whatever job,

talent and interest they want to develop. In addition, they have the freedom to

control their body and to respected.
