1. What are the values education?
Values Education is an essential element of whole-person education which aims at fostering students' positive values and attitudes through the learning and teaching of various Key Learning Areas/subjects and the provision of relevant learning experiences. On this ground, it is to develop students' ability to identify the values embedded, analyze objectively and make reasonable judgement in different issues they may encounter at different developmental stages so that they could take proper action to deal with the challenges in their future life.
2. What is the purpose of values education in schools today?
The purpose of the Values Education is to provide and promote values education at all levels of the educational system for the development of the human person committed to the building of “a just and humane society” and an independent and democratic nation.
3. Why is values education important?
Value-based education places an emphasis on helping students develop their personalities so they can shape their future and deal with challenges with ease. It shapes children to effectively carry out their social, moral, and democratic responsibilities while becoming sensitive to changing circumstances. The importance of value education can be understood by looking at its advantages in terms of how it helps students grow physically and emotionally, teaches manners and fosters a sense of brotherhood, fosters a sense of patriotism, and fosters religious tolerance
4. How do core values shape our lives?
Core values inform your thoughts, decisions, and actions and help you align your career or life path to what's important to you. They're the essential foundation in finding your life purpose, because they remind us – and others – who we truly are. Who we're meant to be.
5. What qualities do you wish to develop in yourself professionally and personally?
I wish to develop may self-confidence professionally and personally. Confidence helps us feel ready for life's experiences. When we're confident, we're more likely to move forward with people and opportunities — not back away from them. And if things don't work out at first, confidence helps us try again. Prepared by:
