The Evolution of Traditional to New Media
identifies traditional media and new media and their relationships
Prerequisites Assessment:
The learners are required to differentiate the different types of media (Venn Diagram) or provide specific examples for each type of media (Network Tree).
The learners discuss the concept of media and information sources by developing a mind map. They start by defining the keyword, then connecting it to other terms. If new related ideas come to
mind, they draw a line to connect the keyword to other ideas related to it.

Spontaneous contribution of ideas from learners is sought, then, the learners express their thoughts by writing an idea list

1. Time frame a student is expected to finish learning the lesson (and where to contact the teacher when concerns arise).
The first three (3) hours will be spent on the presentation and discussion of the key concepts in media and information. The next one (1) hour will be allotted for the completion of the
completion of the Sources Evaluation Chart.

The Media Information Sources enumerates the different kinds of media sources that learners may utilize to acquire information. It also presents a set of standards that learners may apply in
evaluating information from the different sources. Through the topic, the learner demonstrates an understanding of and can identify the values and differences of potential sources of media
and information.

Synthesis
Information may be derived from different media sources. It is necessary to classify these sources so that proper evaluation of information can take place. Certain standards are considered in
evaluating information such as Reliability, Accuracy, Value, Authority and Timeliness.
