1. Name of Program : PROGRAM Sight Word

2. Date : January – March 2020

3. Day / Time : Sunday & Monday / 12.20pm – 6.20 pm

4. Venue : All Year 1 Classrooms

5. Objectives :
1) Help the pupils to become ‘Confident Readers’.
2) Help pupils to read better.
3) This can inspire self-confidence and enthusiasm in learning to read.
6. Target : All year 1 pupils

7. Details of Activities:
1) Conducted once a week.
2) The implementation time is during English Pdpc.
3) All pupils carry out Sight Word activity in their respective classrooms.
4) Teacher will guide the pupils thoroughly during the activity.

8. Program Assessment:
8.1 Strength of Program:
a. Overall the program went well.
b. Most pupils are able to do grasp the sight words shown after several
practices with the teacher.
c. Most pupils are able to understand the meaning of the word.
d. Pupils' condition is more controlled during lesson before recess.
 8.2 Weakness of Program:
a. Not enough time.
b. Pupils tend to memorize rather than understand the word.

8.3 Suggestions/Improvements:
a. Starts the program earlier next year.
b. The teacher discusses with the pupils about the word, it`s spelling, meaning and
provide example.
