Dear Admissions Committee,

I am excited to apply for the MSc in Environment and Climate Change (Coursework)
program at the University of Liverpool. As a recent graduate of the University of Ilorin
with a degree in Zoology, I am eager to continue my academic and professional journey
in the field of environmental and climate change. I believe that this program aligns with
my research interests and career goals, and I am eager to contribute to the field through
my studies at the University of Liverpool.

During my undergraduate studies, I conducted research on the susceptibility status of

Anopheles mosquito to bendiocarb and deltamethrin in Ilorin West. The study aimed to
determine the effectiveness of insecticides commonly used in malaria control programs
in Nigeria. Through this research, I developed skills in experimental design, data
collection, statistical analysis, and scientific writing. Furthermore, the research allowed
me to understand the practical implications of environmental and public health issues in
Nigeria.

After graduation, I completed my National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) at the Ministry of
Agriculture Abeokuta, where I contributed to research related to how climate change
affects agricultural production in Nigeria. During my NYSC, I gained a deeper
understanding of the effects of climate change on food security, livelihoods, and the
environment.

I also volunteered as an intern at the University of Ilorin Zoological Garden, where I

researched the impact of climate change on Nigerian wildlife. Through this experience, I
gained a better understanding of the challenges faced by different animal species,
including changes in breeding seasons, migration patterns, and habitats.

Currently, I work as a biology teacher at Nigerian Tulip International College, where I

teach students about the principles of biology and environmental conservation. I also
serve as a hostel supervisor, where I mentor and guide young college students.

I believe that my undergraduate research experience, in particular, will be beneficial in

my graduate studies. By focusing on the effects of insecticides on malaria control, I have
gained a deep appreciation for the complexities of environmental and public health
issues. This experience will enable me to make meaningful contributions to the
discourse on environmental and climate change issues. Additionally, my research and
work experience have provided me with strong analytical and critical thinking skills,
which I believe will enable me to excel in this program.
I am eager to pursue the MSc in Environment and Climate Change at the University of
Liverpool, and I believe that the program will provide me with the knowledge, skills, and
experiences necessary to become a successful environmental and climate change
professional.

Thank you for considering my application.

Sincerely, [Your Name]
