TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

1.4.1. All materials to be supplied shall be new and of high quality and suitable for the location and
purpose. Materials shall be standard products of reputable manufacturers.
1.5.1. Power service: 230 volts, single phase, 3-wire solid neutral 60 hertz.
1.5.2. Wiring methods: All power and control wiring shall be in rigid PVC conduits.
1.5.3. Grounding: Panel boards, raceways, gutters, metallic conduits and other non-current carrying
metal parts of equipment, heaters, motor frames, shall be provided with effective grounding
connection to a grounded cold center pipe.
1.5.4. Main and Branch Feeders: Conductors and complete conduit systems shall be provided as shown
in drawings and no change in sizes shall be made without approval by the Architect or his
authorized representative.
1.5.5. Panel boards: Furnish and installs the electrical panel boards as shown in the plan.
1.5.6.2. Receptacles shall be duplex with proper cover plates, rated 10 Amperes minimum 250
V.A.C, “NATIONAL” or approved equivalent.
1.5.6.3. Lighting outlet at ceiling shall be provided with 4” PVC octagonal box. Connections from
fixture to boxes shall be made by using THHN wires in flexible conduit.
1.5.7.1. All special lighting fixtures such as center lighting and wall lamps shall be furnished by the
owner and installed by the contractor. Detail of fixture design when not standard shall be
shown in the Architectural drawings.
1.5.7.2. Fluorescent fixtures, if any, shall be complete set with lamps and ballast of high quality.

1.5.8.2. No wires shall be drawn into a raceway until it is complete with all necessary fittings, boxes
support. Connections shall be securely fastened such as not to loosen under vibration and
normal strain. All connections, splices shall be made with approved methods.
