Goal
Obtain knowledge about how to
most effectively assess and/or
teach my students both in-person
and virtually with particular
attention in literacy instruction.
I As A Learner...
Why is this goal important to
me?
I will begin to teach in a hybrid
learning environment which
means I will be teaching
students in-person and students
virtually at the same time.
Teaching literacy through a
computer screen has been
extremely challenging but with
this goal, I believe it will help
improve my teaching and
ultimately foster a literacy rich
learning environment for all
students learning both in-person
and virtually.

How will I document/provide evidence
that I am working on this
goal/accomplished this goal?
I will develop 10 mini-lesson plans that
include literacy standards (e.g. vocabulary
development, focused on literacy skills and
strategies).
These lessons will be taught in a hybrid
setting and written in the UNLV lesson
plan template. Evidence will be provided
through formative and summative
assessments that I administer in the
classroom.
