A furniture dealer deals in only two items: tables and chairs, He has Rs.19000 to invest and a space to
store at most 80 pieces. A table cost him Rs.500 and a chair costs him Rs.200. He can sell a table for
RS.950 and a chair for Rs. 280 . Assume that he can sell al the items that he buys. Formulate the
problem as an LPP so that he can maximise his profit.

A producer has 30 and 17 units of labour and capital respectively which he can use to produce two
types of goods X and Y. To produce one unit of X, 2 unit of labour and 3 units of capital are required,
3 units of labour and 1 unit of capital are required to produce one unit of Y. If X and Y are priced at Rs
100 and Rs 120 respectively, how should he use his resources to maximise the total revenue? Solve the
problem graphically
