SCOPE This specification covers the design, manufacture, materials, delivery and testing of a 460 Volt indoor, Motor Control Centre (MCC), for use in the ISOM Complex Substation for the 2 API Separator Unit. The MCC shall be placed in the ISOM Complex Substation - a switch house, which is situated in an unclassified location in an oil refinery near the sea-coast at an elevation of less than 1,000 metres. Underground Electrical cable shall connect the MCC to a feeder breaker of an existing 460V three phase switchgear assembly sited within the same substation. The maximum run from the switchgear to the MCC is not expected to exceed 30 metres. The maximum run from the MCC to any one motor is not expected to exceed 400 metres. Rated voltage for equipment shall be 1,000 volts. Operating voltage shall be 460 Volts. The equipment shall comply with the drawings, this specification and its datasheets, and the latest revision of the NEC, NEMA and ANSI/IEEE Codes and Standards. 2. SERVICE CONDITIONS The equipment will be installed in an air-conditioned room. However, the motor control centre shall be designed for an ambient temperature range of 0°C to 40°C at a maximum altitude of 1000 metres and a seismic zone rating of three (3). 3. CODES, STANDARDS AND DRAWINGS The equipment shall be designed, manufactured and tested in accordance the datasheets and specifications attached, and with the latest applicable NEMA, NEC and ANSI/IEEE Standards specified. These documents must not be copied, modified or reproduced in any form or fashion without the written consent of PETROTRIN. 4, PACKING AND SHIPPING 4.1 Shipping shall be CIF, Point-a-Pierre, Trinidad and Tobago. 4.2 Vendor shall be solely responsible for preparation for shipment. Preparation shall be in accordance with vendor’s standards. 4,3 Additional shipping and handling requirements that appear in the individual equipment specifications shall be strictly adhered to. 4.4 Each tine up shipping section shall be equipped with lifting facilities so that it may be easily unloaded and handled by either crane or forklift. Shipping section shall not exceed 3 metres in length. The equipment shall be packed, crated, and rigidly braced to protect it from the weather and from damage during shipment, handling and outdoors storage. 5. SUBMITTAL DATA The seller shall submit six (6) copies of the following data used in evaluating proposal: - 5.1 Performance curves (where applicable), short circuit certification, seller’s prints, including dimensions and other data required to provide a complete description of the equipment proposed. Seller shall furnish heat gain for each size breaker and temperature rise for each vertical section. Schematic wiring diagrams shall also be provided 5.2 Complete lists of all equipment and accessories proposed. Components not manufactured by the seller submitting the proposal shall be so noted as well as manufacturer and type proposed. 5.3 The proposal shall include a complete list of unit prices consisting of the cost to add or delete any circuit breaker or complete unit. 5.4 Complete list of minimum recommended spares with prices required for normal routine maintenance. 5.5 List of weights for MCC, circuit breakers and accessories. 5.6 Seller shall state in the proposal all exceptions to these specifications. DRAWINGS AND TECHINICAL INFORMATION 6.1 The Seller may suggest an alternative arrangement of the units from that shown on the single line diagram to optimize space requirements, but the final arrangement will be subject to COMPANY approval. 6.2 As soon as possible after an award and sufficiently in advance of the contract shipping date, the Seller shall provide drawings in accordance with electrical symbology legend attached. 6.3 On or before shipment of the equipment, the seller shall provide: - a) Certified Mylar tracings of final wiring diagrams and schematics for each unit with all terminal markings and connections for other circuits. b) Certified Mylar tracings of final internal connection diagrams of ‘instruments and control switches. ¢) Erection and assembly drawings complete with information for tightening of all electrical bolted connections such as torque wrench settings or complete details of other tightening procedures recommended for bus joints, connector/contact arrangements. 4) Installation, maintenance and operating instructions. e) Tabular wiring diagrams will no be acceptable. 6.4 Data for all MCC and accessories shall include but not be limited to: - © MCC unit number and nameplate identification. * Potential transformer ratio and burden. + Time-current curve for all protective devices.
