KEY PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

INDUSTRIAL KPIs:
Industrial testing practices and key performance indicators (KPIs) for a DIY Pedal assisted
Electric Vehicle (PAEV) can include:

 Performance testing: This involves testing the PAEV's speed, range, acceleration, braking
distance, and hill climbing ability.

 Endurance testing: This testing evaluates the vehicle's durability by simulating real-world
driving conditions over extended periods of time, such as testing the battery's capacity to
sustain continuous usage and charging cycles.

 Safety testing: This involves testing the vehicle's safety features, such as the brakes,
lighting system, and suspension, as well as testing the PAEV's stability under different
road conditions.

 Reliability testing: This testing assesses the PAEV's ability to perform consistently under
different conditions, including weather and temperature changes.

 Environmental testing: This testing evaluates the vehicle's environmental impact,

including testing its carbon emissions and energy efficiency.

 Ergonomics testing: This testing ensures that the PAEV's design is comfortable and user-
friendly for the rider.
DIY KPIs:
Some of the key performance indicators (KPIs) for a DIY Pedal assisted Electric Vehicle
(PAEV) may include:

 Range: This refers to how far the PAEV can travel on a single charge or with a given
amount of pedaling.

 Efficiency: This refers to the amount of energy the PAEV uses to travel a certain distance
or complete a certain task.

 Speed: This refers to how fast the PAEV can travel under different conditions.

 Acceleration: This refers to how quickly the PAEV can reach a certain speed.

 Braking distance: This refers to how quickly the PAEV can come to a complete stop from
a given speed.

 Hill climbing ability: This refers to the PAEV's ability to climb steep hills or inclines.

 Durability: This refers to how well the PAEV can withstand wear and tear over time.

 User satisfaction: This refers to how satisfied users are with the PAEV's performance,
design, and overall user experience.
