PERFORMANCE TASK
ISSUE (5 pts each) EXPLANATION (5 pts each)
*Why did you choose the issue?*
Issue #1:

COVID-19 (2020) It's been 2 years since COVID-19 started and it hasn't been fine to
everyone because of how everything started to change to a way
that we all need to begin from the start. Unemployment, poverty,
lack of support from the government from the start, education and
health are one of the things that got targeted, businesses shut
down. It was a never-ending nightmare and it's like the Philippines
collapsed from that moment. I chose this topic because I want to
discuss how we can make a difference if we just do what is
necessary and right. We can't keep living this way for the rest of our
lives; life is beautiful, but this isn't how it looks. It's not people
needing to wear facemasks all the time, it's not people socially
isolating themselves, and it's not people being afraid of people
getting sick and being infected by them. If we want to return to
where we once were, we must begin with ourselves. During this
pandemic, many heroes have stepped forward to assist us, and
they are our frontliners. On the other hand, some are abusing their
abilities, and assisting people in healing is difficult because they are
putting themselves in danger. What can we do to assist? The first is
that we must always wear our safety equipment. Second, we must
refrain from going anywhere, especially when it is unnecessary.
Third, if we have the symptoms, we should begin isolating ourselves
and not spreading the disease. Fourth, even though vaccines are
required, we should still consider what is best for us, and if getting
vaccinated is the best option, we should do so. Fifth, stay up to date
on COVID-19 by reading the newspaper, watching the news, or
checking social media. Sixth, buy everything you need, but only
what you need right now and want. There is much more to say, but
for the time being, everyone is feeling a little more at ease because
there is less news about COVID. However, we should always be
watchful of what is going on because it will protect us from anything
that may occur unexpectedly. "We are in this together, and we will
get through this together," the United Nations said. It's a good
statement because if we don't band together to stop this ongoing
pandemic, our demise is imminent. The virus is the threat, not the
people.

Issue #2:

War on Drugs (2016) Thousands of people have been killed and thousands have lost
family members as a result of this, and what I dislike about it is that
even if you're not on drugs and they suspect you of being on them,
they will immediately kill you on the spot, which is not morally
justified. I selected this topic to discuss how it is not right in any and
all aspects, particularly human rights. I know that people who use
drugs can still change their negative lifestyle, and that war is not
always the solution to every problem out there. It is rife with human
rights violations, amounting to state-sanctioned murder. They want
to kill all drug dealers, addicts, drug lods, users, and anyone who
uses drugs, but it's not even reasonable because children and the
elderly are among those who died. Some children were bullied at
school and in their communities as a result of the stress associated
with alleged drug use by one of their parent. They may need to be
locked up for their wrongdoings, but killing someone because of
their wrong action is never a better option because we do not own
anyone's life. Beyond the violent retaliation of the raids, the
negative consequences of Duterte's anti-drug campaign for children
are far-reaching. Many people suffer from emotional trauma after
witnessing the murder of a loved one, and because they and their
family members fear for their lives, some have even had to flee their
homes to hide and keep their lives safe. This drug war will live on
forever in the dust on the floor and the air we breathe.

Reflection:
1. I didn’t have any difficulty answering this first week of the 4th quarter modules. It's not hard as
both of the WW and PT are easy to understand and easy to answer.
2. Both performance task and written work but I enjoyed answering the performance task more
as I learned a lot while researching information about the issue that I chose. It is also easy as
the instruction itself is easy to understand.
