1. Secure learner- the child learns at a developmentally appropriate rate. This showcases

brain development in the child.

2. Physical growth- the child's weight and height should be at a desirable rate according to

body mass index and the child's pediatrician.

3. Posture- the correct posture can show evidence of how a child is feeling and whether or

not they have a good diet.

4. Alert and lively- this is an indication that nutrients are being absorbed properly. This

also shows the cognitive development of a child.

5. Healthy appetite- shows that children have a healthy appetite by eating multiple food

groups. Healthy appetite is important because kids get the necessary resources and

nutrients from a variety of food choices.
