2. Five activities that encourage a child to communicate.

a. Role playing. Such as playing doctor, firefighter, teacher or other

representations used in the dramatic play center.


b. Turn and talk. This can be utilized during instruction to encourage children to

communicate their answers, thoughts and understanding of a problem among

each other.

c. Reading. Reading with kids is a great way to help with communication.

d. Show and tell. Bring in a favorite toy, boy or drawing from home to share

with the class.

e. Daily Check in. Gather the class every morning in a circle and go around and

give everyone a chance to communicate how they are doing.

3. List and describe 10 activities that give children opportunities to express their creativity.

 Lego center. In this center children show their creativity by building

objects from their imagination.

 Blank pages for art. This allows students to show their creativity. Giving

the students their own canvas with no guidance.

 Play dough. Children can use their creativity to mold their own creation.

They get to touch and create each piece they way they see it in their mind.

 Fort building: With the appropriate materials, children can express their

creativity by creating their own unique rooms and designs.

 Dramatic Play Center. For this activity children have children can use their

imagination to pretend to be other people.

 Arts and crafts and puppet making. Have a box of materials children can

use to decorate a paper bag to create a puppet.

 Music. Have students play instrument and be creative by making their own

music and or learning to read music.


 Dance. Gives the opportunity to express creativity through movement.

 Show and Tell: Encourages creativity by allowing children to show off

their own creations that mean something to them.

 Exercise. Keep children moving encourage them to create exercises or

choose regular exercises. But to always keep active and moving.
