Investigation:
1. Gym and weightlifting related studies, because I can then take that info and
implement it into my own gym routine. Focus on pre and post workout
routines and what to do and finding the optimal routine for pre and post
workout.
2. Split the participants up in 5 groups, make them each do a set amount of
warmup, and then test their performance.

Example Questions
1. What is the effect of background noise on speed among the 13-14 girls
football team measured using 40m distance run?
2. To what extent does changing the temperature of the room effect strength
between 17–18-year-old boys measured using bench press?
3. What is the effect of warm up length on muscular endurance on a 15–16-year
boys team measured using push up test?

Research Information
Background Information:

1. Explain IV and DV
2. Make connections to those to choose sport
3. Explain why it’s worth value
4. Make connection to why I am interested, personal perspective
5. Find 1 or 2 studies that are similar.

Research Question:

What is the effect of warm up duration on muscular endurance on a 15–16-year

boys team measured using push up test?
Hypothesis:

Variables:
Independent Variable (5 manipulations): (E.g. Temperature at 15,
20,25,30,35 degrees)

Warm up – Duration
Range:
6 Minutes
8 Minutes
10 Minutes
12 Minutes
14 Minutes

Dependent Variable:

Muscular Endurance

How do you Plan to Measure for the DV-method of testing?

I will measure using the recognized fitness test which is the push up test.
Controlled Variables: How You Plan to Control:

1. Temperature of the room

2. Participants
3. Age
4. Gender
5. Location
6. Equipment
7. Ability and Experience
8. Push – Up form

Confounding Variables:

1. Diet of Sample
2. Sleep Schedule of Sample
3. Motivation
4. Genetics

Participants:
Age range: How many?

Target population (eg. students):

Male/female:

Sampling method:

How will they be allocated to conditions (experimental or control):

Research Design:
Design and Method (Provide Step by Step Procedures for Conducting
Experiment)

Processing:
How will data be processed?

Ethical Considerations:
Items to consider (for example, consent forms, PAR-Q, deception, debriefing,
protection from harm, warm-up, cool-down, confidentiality):
How will ethical issues be addressed:
