On the evening of October 8, 2021 at about 2105H, in Kawayan Province of
Kamagong, witness Nelia Toog who was on her way home witnessed a shooting incident
wherein Mario Ablan Mayor of Kamagong Province, who had just filed a COC together
with his driver Nestor Ipil-Ipil boarded on a private car were allegedly strafed by Gag
Matigas, identified as one of the bodyguard of his close opponent, and which lead to the
death of Mayor Mario Ablan due to fatal wounds and blood loss. While Nestor Ipil-Ipil
survived since his wounds were not fatal and was treated immediately.
Evidence found at a crime scene are white sack, several fired empty shells of cal
5.56mm.
Meanwhile, Gag Magtigas fleed on his red motorcycle with the license plate #HAA
556.
