EXPLORE (February 6, 2023)

Activity 1. Tell Me What You Think, Tell Me What You Feel


This activity will let the students share their beliefs or convictions about the issues presented.

Direction: Tell me your ideas, beliefs or convictions about the issues presented in the different images presented.

Activity 2. One Picture, One Phrase


This activity will let students share their beliefs using a picture.

Direction: Study each picture carefully. In a 1 whole sheet of paper, write your beliefs about the pictures using a word
or phrase and explain why you hold such beliefs in the third column under WHY.

ACTIVITY 1. Identification using Jumbled Letters


*This activity will lead to students’ learning about Beliefs, Conviction and different types of visual materials.

Direction: Below are the different terminologies that needs to be assembled. Reveal its true identity by making
inferences and contextual clues from the adjacent definition.

LEIEBF It is something that an individual considers as the truth. It is shaped


by the individual’s background experiences and is based on one’s
cultural or personal faith, morality, or values.
NIOTVICOC It is a firm belief on something that an individual is convinced of.
POWREPONIT It is a Microsoft PowerPoint that is probably the most commonly
PRETENSITATNO used form of visual aid. Used well, it can really help you in your
presentation; used badly, however, it can have the opposite effect.
EOVID It gives a person a chance to show stimulating through visual
information. It is used to bring movement, pictures and sound into
presentation.
NGDWRAI It is creating a picture with a variety of tools like pencils, crayons,
pens
or markers. Artists draw on different types of surfaces, like paper or
canvas
PAINITNGS It is often called the most important form of visual art. It is about
putting colors on a canvas or a wall. Painters express their ideas
through a mixture of colors and different brush strokes. It is also one
of the oldest forms of visual arts.
PHOTOGPASHR Photography is making pictures by letting light pass through the
lenses of a camera onto a film. Images could then be printed onto
special paper.
LMIF Filmmaking is the process of directing and producing movies for
television and cinemas. It is a very expensive and complicated form
of art, involving many tasks, for example scriptwriting, casting and
editing film sequences before they can be shown to an audience.
SCULTPUER These are three-dimensional pieces of art that are created by shaping
various kinds of material. Among the popular sculpting materials are
steel, plastic, ceramics and wood. Sculpture is often referred to as
plastic arts
CAOOTRNS It is a type of illustration, sometimes animated, typically in a non-
realistic or semi-realistic style. These are drawings and illustrations
that come in several forms and can have many meanings.

ACTIVITY 2. Unbox the Picture


This activity will let students share their beliefs/convictions using series of pictures.

Direction: In a ½ crosswise, write your own belief/conviction on the different social issues presented in the visual
images.

DEEPEN (MAKE MEANING) (February 9, 2023)


ACTIVITY 1. Belief of one, Belief of many!
This activity will let the learners agree or disagree with the statements/convictions of others.

Direction: In whole sheet of paper draw the images presented in this activity. Decide whether you agree or disagree
to the given statements. If you agree with what most people believe, then you may write your stand on the speech
bubble on their side. However, if you believe otherwise, write on the other speech bubble that is opposite to the
image of the crowd.

Activity 2. In the News


This activity will let the learners watch a news and learn to express their beliefs and convictions about their watched
news.

DIRECTION: Watch a news report and express your beliefs and convictions about the topic. Write a brief summary of
the news before you present your ideas about it. Be sure to use the different expressions for stating beliefs and
convictions.

Activity: Draw Your Emotions and Convictions!


This activity will help learners express their convictions through a medium.

Direction: Choose one medium which helps you express yourself best. Visually present an issue of current interest
using one from the following visual media. Then, express your beliefs and convictions about the issue you have drawn
in at least five sentences.

a. Cartooning
b. Painting
c. Drawing

Rubric: 10 points – Creativity; 10 points – relevance to the message/feeling of the text and illustration; 10 points –
color combinations
