    Wednesday, 11th January

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

    Al Shomoukh International School annual “Book Week” will commence from Sunday 15 th
    January to Thursday 19th January. The aim of book week is to inspire a love of books with an
    array of activities to highlight reading for pleasure. During book week teachers will include
    activities related to books, authors and characters in their English and Arabic lessons.

    Character dress up day: will be held on Thursday 19th January (students are encouraged to


    dress up as their favourite book character). A fancy-dress parade takes place during the
    morning assembly.

    Bookshop: students will have the opportunity to purchase books from a bookshop located on


    campus, which will be open from 10 am to 2 pm. Book prices range from 1 OMR to 8 OMR.
    The bookshop will only be available from Sunday 15th January to Thursday 19th January.
