Using Codes and Conventions

Media Conventions
There are three types of Media Conventions. Describe each type and provide an example that
demonstrates its use.

Form Conventions: this is how something will be set out. An example of this will be in a newspaper
where the master head goes at the top and other information goes underneath.

Story Conventions: story convention is about the start middle and end of a product. An example of
this would be the important things which happen throughout a movie

Genre Conventions: this is how media products are represented. For example a crime genre series
will have many crime scenes and police.
