It is my great honor to recommend Makenna Griffin from Garza Independence High School for
graduation! I’ve known Makenna for almost two years now and have seen her remarkable growth as a
writer and a student.

Makenna possesses an exceptional ability to express herself both in writing and verbally. Every
written assignment she turns in has a great depth of thought behind the words. Also, she isn’t restricted
to one type of style or genre of writing either. She has excelled in multiple styles and genres including
persuasive essays, creative narratives, poetry, and professional correspondence. Furthermore, when we
hold class discussions, you can find Makenna at the center, expressing her viewpoints with both logic,
clarity, and respect. This strength being able to effectively communicate in multiple facets will surely
be a great asset in the future for her!

Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of witnessing a remarkable transformation in
Makenna. Through sheer determination and a willingness to learn and grow, she developed a strong
work ethic. As her performance in school continued to improve, Makenna took on more and more
responsibilities with a job as well as a new family member in the form of a cat. Her efficiency and
productivity increased, eventually earning her a place among the best students I have ever had the
opportunity to teach.

I want to reiterate how much of an honor it is to be able to recommend Makenna for graduation
from Garza. Having seen her growth in these last two years, I know she will be successful in whatever
