I am writing this letter of reference for Megan Mitchell. I have known Megan for
the last seven years in my capacity as a teacher for the Carson City School
District. Megan was my student in my STEM classes and my Leadership program
at Eagle Valley Middle School. Megan always demonstrated exceptional
attendance and class participation. Her grades were consistently excellent.

Megan would be an ideal candidate for the University of Nevada, Reno

Teacher Education program. As an alumnus of the program, I can speak with
confidence that Megan would thrive under the rigorous workload of this
program. She would be an asset to every class with her positive attitude and
ability to work with others.

Megan has several strengths when it comes to working with children. I have
observed her mentoring younger students when, as a high schooler, she
returned to the middle school setting to assist the Leadership program. She is
motivating, patient, and kind.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend Megan. She is one of the most

outstanding individuals I have taught in twenty years. I believe any program
