To Whom It May Concern:

I highly recommend Mary DiMaggio as a candidate for a lead teaching position at your school. I
had the pleasure of working with Mary as her Supervisor at South Boston Catholic Academy in
my first-grade classroom. Mary is driven, organized, and develops a relationship with the
students in the classroom.

As a student teacher at South Boston Catholic Academy, Mary was punctual and prepared for the
day. Each lesson she created for the first graders, was carefully and thoughtfully written, to
ensure students of all learning abilities were able to achieve success. After the lesson, Mary was
always receptive to feedback for areas that she can improve on in her lesson plan. It was evident
that she took these suggestions and implemented them into her next lesson plan.

An area that Mary specifically excelled in was working with students who require additional
support in small groups. Mary would work closely with students in the areas of reading, writing,
and math. She was able to further explain and assist students on the topic we were working on in
these subjects. The students loved working closely with Mary.

Mary came to South Boston Catholic Academy with a positive attitude and desire to be a great
teacher to the first grade students. I believe Mary would be a great asset to your school as an
educator. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Caroline E. Gannon
