1. What is a resumé? A curriculum vitae?

Answer:

 The length of the Curriculum Vitae might vary because it gives a thorough history

of your academic accomplishments. Contrarily, a resume gives a succinct

overview of your abilities and experience for a particular position, so its length is

typically shorter and determined by years of experience (generally 1-2 pages)

2. What are the types of resumé? Discuss each type of resumé and its uses clearly.

There are three common resume formats: chronological, functional, and combination.

 Chronological Resume – In the beginning of a chronological resume, your

employment history is listed, starting with the most recent position. You include

your previous employment in reverse chronological order underneath your most

current position. Those looking for work who have a good, stable work history

should use this form of resume. You might think about using a different resume

format if you are just starting your career or switching industries of employment.

 Functional or Skills-based Resume – Instead of emphasizing your chronological

employment history, a functional resume concentrates on your abilities and

expertise. A “professional experience” or “accomplishments” section that details

the many abilities you have acquired over the years might be included at the

beginning of your resume in place of the “job history” part. A resume summary or

headline describing a person’s accomplishments and talents is sometimes

included at the top of a functional resume. A functional resume might not mention

one’s employment history at all or it might have a brief summary at the bottom.
 Combination Resume – Combined with a functional resume, a combination

resume combines both of the previous two types of resumes. A list of one’s

abilities and credentials is located at the beginning of the resume. One’s

illustrative work history is listed below here. The employment history, however,

does not serve as the resume’s primary emphasis and generally takes up little

room. The abilities you have that are pertinent to the job you’re applying for can

be highlighted on this form of resume together with a list of your previous

employment dates. In spite of the fact that your job history may not be

particularly long, the majority of employers nevertheless want to examine it.
