I. Objective:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to;
a. Discuss what synonyms are
b. Give words synonymous with given terms
c. Expand thier vocabularies through the use of synonyms

II. Procedure
A. Preparation

B. Review
The teacher will ask the students about the previous discussion which is all
about rhyme.
• Rhyme — A rhyme is the repetition of sounds between two words, usually the
sounds after the final stressed syllable of each word.
C. Motivation
The teacher will let the students play the game “Hep-Hep Horay” with a twist.
They will play it in reverse way and student who will got it wrong will pick a
flower and give definition to given picture as many word as the student can.
D. Lesson Proper
a. Pre-activity
The teacher will post a jumble letter words and student will arrange it.

• The teacher discusses the synonyms
A synonym is a word that has the same or nearly the same meaning as
another word. When words or phrases have the same meaning, we say that
they are synonymous of each other. The term synonym comes from a
combination of the Ancient Greek syn, meaning with, and onoma, meaning
“name.”

Here are some synonyms of words you use every day:

 Good: fine,
 Hot: burning,
 Cold: chilly,
