Philosophy

During my time in the Media Center I want to see both students

and teachers become successful. I have always strongly believed that
there is a direct connection between the classroom and the Media
Center. This connection is not just between the students and the books
they check out but it's also directly connected to the students academic
achievements. We as Media Specialist have a higher calling to support
the teachers in whatever they are doing in the classroom. Collaborating
with the school community as well as the stakeholders will prove to be
a great asset.
As a Media Specialist, having information and knowledge about
technology and knowing how to access that information and technology
is your focus most of the time. As a Media Specialist I am charged with
knowing the latest technological trends which should be second nature
as a media specialist. Nurturing my online presence within my PLN will
also have great benefits for the students and teachers in my school.
