 Motivation Ask: Have you ever had an accident?
What kind of accident it is?
What is the reason of the accident?
Why do you think it happened?
Present a picture about the different
accidents in a workplace. Let the
students analyze what incident
happened in the said picture.
Ask:
1. What is the picture all about?
2. Is an accident avoidable?
3. How can we avoid hazard and risks in the
workplace?
A. Activity Role Playing. Caught in the Act.
Group the students into two, the group
will portray the possible risk in the
given accident situation in a workplace.
B. Analysis Process students output/performance.
Ask:
1. How much do you like the activity?
2. How did your group come up with that
idea?
3. What must a worker do in order to be
safe in a workplace?
C. Abstraction Show a short video clip about some causes of
accidents. Discuss briefly the hazard and
risks found in the workplace.
D. Application a. Charades.
Divide the class into two. A word is
placed on top of the guesser's
forehead. The goal of the game is to
correctly guess the word in one
minute. The word-guesser must guess
the word through the help of the other
player by acting or demonstrating the
words without speaking.
b. Group activity. (same group of
students) Let them visit the on-going
construction of the new building of
BCNNHS, let them list the hazard and
risk in the workplace that can be
observed during the site-seeing.
After visiting the construction site, let them
discuss their identified hazard and risk in the
construction site visited.
