IV. PROCEDURE
A. Review What are the procedures on How to Clean and Oil your
Sewing Machine
B. Motivation Show a video presentation/Pictures of workplaces
pertaining to hazard and risk
C. Presentation Based on the video presentation, what is the video all
about? Can you guess what our lesson is for today?
D. Activity 1. The class will be divided into five groups
Proper/Discussion 2. Each group will be given a meta-strips, each member
will write down the hazard/risk that they had observed in
their homes or in school then explain each
3. For 5 mins.they will do the activity. Each group with
post their work in their manila paper and choose one
representative to present the group activity in the class
E. Analysis  Why do we need to know the difference between hazards
from risk?
 Will exposure to hazards in the workplace always cause
injury, illness or adverse health effects? Why?
 As a Grade 7 student, why is hazard and risk
assessment important?

 What do you think will be our lesson for today?
D. Activity  The class will be divided into five (5 mins.)
Proper/Discussion  Each group will choose their leader and reporter
 Each group will go out in the classroom and observe
the surroundings.
 They will list down as many as they can hazards that
they had observed.
E. Analysis How can we avoid the different types of hazards?
Why is it important that even in our young mind we will
learn to recognize situations that are hazardous not only in
the field of dressmaking but in our lives?

F. Application  The teacher will provide situation (1-5) where students


will identify what type of hazard each situation belongs
to, then in three to five sentences students will state
why such situation falls under that type of hazard.

 What do you think are the pre-operational safety when
using the sewing machine?

C. Presentation  In any workplace, Employer want to keep your their
workers safe. However, even with proper security
measures, the workers are still at risk of injury or
illness due to the some common hazards. Aside from
knowing those it is also a must that we should know its
causes.
