PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Social media is a future communication,A countless array of internet

based tools and platform that increase and enhance the sharing
information.This new form of media makes the transfer of
text,photos,audio,video,and information in general increasingly fluid
among internet users.social media has relevance not only for regular
user,But business as well(Brown,2014).Social media has become one of
the most importance communication means knowadays towards the
exchange of idea,data,and unknown information.It is a formof
electronic communication through which people interact with each
other.According to( Henderson and Bowley,2010)refers to collaborative
online application and technologies that enable
participation,connectivity of some user some media that are known to
provides social content.Evidence from (Ventuniri 2019)reveal that
social media offers a quantum of junk resources students also tend to
use them in ther academic performance.This simply indicates that the
social media had a made communication,social intraction,and
education a lot easier and accessible.

It aim to determine major social media effect,the effect of social

media in learning of students in term of grammar ability,recitation
performance,language skill,cyber bullying ,online game and addiction
this effects of social media in students that affect their academic
performance know a days.Grammar abilitity is common effect of social
media in their academic performance because is easy to search in
internet by copy-paste and rewrite but not know to explain clearly in
front of the class because the idea is from internet.Language skill is
drain the ability of of students on a ertin language use it.Cyber bullying
in social media that drain our confidence to not fulfill our achievement
that affects our academic performance in school.Online games is the
platform of social media because its affecr the idea and knowledge of a
students spend a lot of time to play that cannot handle their
limits,Students can abandon their homework because in online
game.Addiction on social media ffect the belonging of the students in
daily life can lead to low concentration in academic activities that affect
our academic performance of the hums students

The relationship exist between social media and the academic

performance.The darker side of technological evolution has resulted in
issue such as distraction to real values of life specially among student
who inhabit the majority of users of social media.This study is focused
on a effects of social media to senior high school students to their
academic performance.However,There is also negative effect to the use
of students among students.According to study ,Many students ae
starting lose concentraton in their studies due to their dependence of
social media and online platform use which in turn cause a decline in
their over all academic performance
