GENERAL REFLECTION

Engineering is an important career since it is a role that very few other professions

can perform in most instances. We ensure that all commodities, equipment, and systems

utilized across the world are not only created reliably and safely, but can also be used

safely by customers. Industrial designers can create a visually appealing blender, but

engineers are the ones that write all of the specifications, choose the final materials and

part geometry, and test it to failure to ensure that it is safe to use and eventually ceases

working in a safe manner. These roles are even more important in cases such as mass

transportation, dams, and medical equipment or prosthetics, where scientists can figure

out how to make certain parts of those work, but engineers turn that knowledge into very

precisely-designed end products and can also investigate when something unexpectedly

fails in service. Working to make people's lives more comfortable, safer, and/or pleasant

provides satisfaction. Engineers all across the world have worked tirelessly to improve

men's lives in fields such as renewable energy smart grids, high-speed fiber optic

broadband, digital infrastructure, broadcast and communications systems, navigation

networks, medicinal gadgets, and internet security. Electronic engineers contribute to the

improvement and safety of the air, water, and land for humans. They design, implement,

and operate systems that manage wastewater, reduce air pollution, enhance solid waste

disposal, and make recycling more cost-effective. They are also looking for ways to

reduce vehicle and power plant emissions and clean up toxic waste sites. Environmental

law, regulators, and public health concerns push electronic engineers to focus their

technological knowledge on expanding research that affects human quality of life on a

global scale. Public health, natural system conservation and restoration, water and

wastewater treatment, pollution management, and other issues are among the emerging

difficulties (Rexwinkle, 2020).

Also we engineer have many laws to follow that’s why it’s going to my head about

to modify the question somewhat. "Why is it necessary to have laws? The question, "Why

do we have to follow the law?” is straightforward: to prevent us from being punished by

the system that passed the laws in order to improve the society for which they were

passed. Thus, "Why do we need laws? As everyone has a unique interpretation of "living

life the way they want to," nobody can manage to come to a consensus on what that

means. If there were no rules where we lived, it would appear to one person that killing

someone would be a perfectly acceptable act. Homicide may seem despicable to one

person, but if someone killed someone else's relative, there would be nothing that person

could do to try to get justice because there would be no laws. No laws, no penalties.

Going faster than 10 mph on a freeway is the right speed for some people while driving

over 100 mph on a freeway is acceptable to others. The issue with having no rules is that

everyone is now left to decide for themselves what is appropriate, and given that there

are millions of people worldwide, there is a lot of opportunity for lack of commonality. So,

laws are a terrific tool for removing the gray area of what is socially acceptable. Even if

we might not all agree on all of the laws that are enacted, it helps everyone reach a

consensus on the same. Since this is a good question and the subject has some intriguing

philosophical goodness to it, the answer to this question could go on for quite some time.

As I've already mentioned, laws give us a way to have a way for those who are victims to
get some kind of restitution as well as a way for those who break the law to get some kind

of punishment. So that;

From the last first topic, we discussed and I learned the EcE pledge and how it is

important for me as an electronics engineering student because I believe it is my job as

an Electronic Engineer to be proud yet humble about my career. As an electronics

engineer, I must be responsible enough to carry out my duties. The ECE commitment

also reminds me that as an electronic engineer, I must only do honest and lawful work

and never engage in illegal or unethical behavior. It also means that I must give everything

I have in order to achieve effectively for my firm or client, rather than completing my work

half-heartedly. As Electronics Engineers, it is my obligation to assist whenever my talents

are necessary. As Electronics Engineers, I must work to maintain my profession and

name clean, but if I suspect a colleague or another Electronics Engineer of wrongdoing,

I must never be afraid to speak up since he has caused dishonor and is unworthy of the

profession. The pledge is reminds me to salute a gesture to my previous engineers who

constructed and invented new discoveries and technology for the benefit of humanity. As

a result, I must commit to devote my life to studying and improving on the foundations

they have established, as well as to passing on my knowledge to future engineers so that

they, too, can preserve, innovate, and pass it on to their successors. I must pledge

everything to my fellow Electronic Engineers and ask them to basically respect my

profession and not do anything that may tarnish its good name, to always work for further

good and innovations for humanity, and to finally ask God's help and guidance throughout

with the light of my path and darkness, The higher power for fulfilling this pledge.
Moreover, from the previous second topic of the two republic act which is republic

act 5734 and republic act 9292, It was a big help for me as I am an electronic engineering

students and wants to be a professional electronic engineering and pass the board exam,

It is my pleasure to understanding of the law and the things of what to do, once I become

an electronic engineering, It is very important for me because the republic act was written

to regulate the electronics engineers of the country and ensure that I am qualified for the

jobs that the profession would entail. And it is important for me because it is written to

inform individuals there requirements necessary in order to be an electronics engineering

the Philippines, as well as the guidelines to be followed while practicing the profession.

The presentation thoroughly the importance and guideline for me each component of the

given law, with all the subtopics being adequately explained. It is my responsibility to obey

this Law, including the many outlines of the prerequisites for Electronics Engineering

certification that I must remember, as well as the restriction against practicing without a

certificate of registration. It also reminds me of the specifics of the candidate standards

that I must achieve in order to obtain my Electronics Engineering license. In line with that,

I now understand every detail of the Electronics Engineering Board test, including its

scheduling, coverage, ranking, rules, and regulations that must be followed. The provided

law discusses the fees required to take the Electronics and Communications Engineering

Examination, the Roster of Electronics and Communications Engineers, and the

Establishment and Composition of the Board of Examiners for Electronics and

Communications Engineers. There is also more information that I discovered that outlines

all of the regulations governing the board's jurisdiction and duty in carrying out its activities

as the Board of Examiners. I also learned from the law that there are largely provisions
related to the board of directors and some of the possible roles inside the organization. It

outlines all of the legal requirements for becoming a member of the official board of

directors. It is important for me also to acknowledge the importance of enforcing the act

and the Supreme Court’s assistance as the board’s legal counsel as well as there

ciprocation of rights from the law granted to foreign nationals who implement and offer

rights to our fellow citizens in my country using the same law as the Republic Act. I learned

also the different discussion of every penalty and punishment that a person or for me who

shall not obey the given rule, and that’s why I will obey and do the right things because,

you will not be punish when you do good, that’s why it is important for me to know and

mind this law or else will have the punishment and penalty accordingly.

Furthermore, from the previous third topic about the importance of engineering

ethics it is as great and useful for me as electronic engineering students because I believe

that Engineering ethics are the norms and principles for me to must follow as a moral

commitment to my profession and the world. That’s to be said I like all other professions,

require integrity and honesty in my jobs. Codes of ethics enable for me to be accountable

for my actions. They act as guiding principles for determining what is right or wrong. A

code of ethics for engineers ensures that I am remain honest in all my transactions. I

realized that even though I am an engineer or an electronic engineer, I still have a duty

to the government to respect the higher rank of state regarding the rules and laws that

must be followed because I cannot function as an engineer without respecting and

adhering to them for the benefit of my nation and humanity. It is believed that electronic

engineers or I must make constructive plans to ensure not only the engineering

advantages of what I am aiming to build, but also the safety of each human life and to
support my society's advancement as a whole so that no one is left behind in misery. I

must also want to use or intend an advance technologies to help with both the Humanity's

and the world's bad effects. As a result, no matter how great the final product may be, I

must always keep in mind that the safety of others around me comes first. I also learned

that even though I am a licensed professional engineer, I must use my knowledge and

abilities to help others to learn and improve. Even a small amount of knowledge can make

a significant contribution to my society. One example is I’m going create a barangay

program that in line with my area of expertise so that I can educate people and improve

their quality of life. Also, I believe that everyone is naturally curious, which is another

reason I should be open to experiencing things outside of my comfort zone. I need to

keep learning new things and absorbing more knowledge while I work in the field of

electronic engineering if I want to improve my skills. An engineering career exists. a job

that has a big impact on people's lives. When ethics are violated, tragedies happen; these

tragedies typically involve the loss of human life in addition to having major financial and

environmental impacts. Engineering ethics should be a top priority for all engineers.

That’s why I learned that I must use my skills to benefit the public good or society without

seeking compensation, as stated by the ethics. I have a responsibility to assist them in

accordance with their needs and my professional skills. If I see someone doing something

improperly at work that has nothing to do with my job, I will let them know and speak with

the person in authority so that it can be fixed, ensuring the safety of everyone else and

preventing a potentially dangerous situation. In addition, I'll be accountable for my work

and double-check the results to prevent any hazards that could risk people's safety. I will

make sure that the public's safety comes first because I am in charge of it. Also I kept in
mind that In order for me to comprehend and concentrate on the proper understanding, I

will not disseminate false information about my career, correct inaccurate information,

and clearly and legally explain what my ability and competency as an electronics engineer

are. Since it is my duty as an electronic engineer to treat everyone fairly, I must state in

that I will only give advice to those who I believe to be sincere. This means that I must

only give advice when it is based on accurate information and honesty. Many of the

requirements in the Code are evidently based on this fundamental ethical duty to pursue

the truth when rendering professional services. Because I believe that this ethics

demonstrates how true and responsible, fair and honest I am as an engineer, because

without it, my job is a shambles, as I have no idea how and what is wrong and right when

I’m going to transact with my client, boss, and any project. It's best to be honest about my

profession since, as the expression goes, regret comes at the end. So be humble, honest,

and proud that I am an electronic engineer with an equal vision for everyone’s. There are

also essential subjects and reminders for me to remember if I have a transaction with

someone in my field of competence. I must process in a professional or accurate manner

that does not violate the EcE principles of ethics. A proper legal technique for my

transaction. And the right process before the output, because I need to advise each of

my clients on what I require and what resources to employ, which is why my agreement

with my clients is vital to avoid misinterpretation. I must be fair to my customer with the

line for that; if that is the agreement we reach, it cannot be amended in other clients to be

fair. This also reminds me that I need to inspect the project's procedure beforehand, and

I refuse to take any illegal transaction or money from people/contractors about whom I

don't know the method or where it came from. I must inspect and calculate the procedure
than doing things appropriately. Therefore, even if the project has a substantial offer but

is full of illegality and contradictory behavior from everyone, I don't need to be financially

involved. When creating information that may have a negative impact on my client, I must

be cautious.

The code of ethics implies in me how to manage a scenario with my co engineer;

based on the first paragraph, it indicates that even if we have misunderstandings with

each other co engineer in the course of our work, I will treat it in such a way that no

reputation is harmed. There are section of the code of ethics that reminds me that I will

not make any statement that will dirt the reputation of another engineer without any honest

and it is a jealousy matters, If my co engineer made an illegal and wrong doing, I will

inform and remind him/her in a professional way of talking and suggesting a way that will

help improve as engineer, such that I will say that, doing such thing is wrong so that

he/she will know exactly what is going on, and it will mark to his mind that what he doing

is in a wrong way. It also signifies that I must not appropriate another person's work or a

transaction; I must act fairly and refrain from undercharging a fellow engineer in order to

obtain their work; if he made a pricing error, I will inform him directly rather than his client

so that everything is correct and no work is lost or destroyed. Because I believe that many

ethical engineering issues arise in the professional world. One of these is the case of a

professional exploiting someone else's work that has been widely disseminated in the

market. Another example is a professional exploiting someone else's unpublished work

and stealing their idea. Engineers with strong engineering ethics frequently have a strong

sense of the value of life. They are not afraid to acknowledge that they made a mistake

because they understand that the cost of not owning up to your mistakes can be terrible.
It could potentially cost a person's life. In my interactions with fellow engineers, I should

simply remain humble, fair, and tolerant, and give respect for mine and his dignity.

Because I know I don't deserve it, why should I force myself on something that isn't mine

and that I didn't do? In addition, I must protect the reputation and dignity of my profession

by avoiding affiliation with engineers who violate ethical standards. Because I know that

as an engineer, I do what is right, and if you are not right and are unable to do what is

right in your profession, it is best to remain away. Because I believe everyone needs to

be treated with dignity, and respect and decency apply everywhere in our daily lives. It

has dignity and worth when you are involved in activity that serves humanity and helps to

build humanity. Dignity of labor implies that hard work should pay off for everyone,

regardless of who you are or what type of work you do.

Overall, ECE pledge, Laws and ethics is a combination of important justification

for me, without this all I cannot succeed uniformly and understand things that in my dream

way of my future. It is very important this is because it can guide for me as a better person

not just a better electronic engineer. Being a good person with values for your attitude is

a good way to avoid war and enemy. But I believe through all of this we need the guidance

of the God which can leads me for a bright future and I’m faithing for that. We can succeed

things for Gods helps. And I believe for that.
