Chapter 1

THE PROBLEM

Introduction

The different materials available bamboo a group of perennial grass with large

woody culm. Bamboo products have a notable beneficial environmental impact and

distinguishing social and economic benefits. The ise of bamboo requires creativity and

reopening to natural materials, which have been considered as the basis for the economy

of the future as they reflect the changes occurring as a result of novel concepts and

methods. The researchers decide to create a Multifuntional Ceiling Lamp out of bamboo

because it is durable and long lasting. Typically, ceiling lamp are made of porcelain and

glass, but this product was made of bamboo. This new product, "ChrisShaMaRa;

Multifuntional Ceiling" is more than just a ceiling lamp because you can use it outside of

your house. A ceiling lamp is a designed to light the outside of your house. A ceiling

lamp is a solar light and may be use for outdoor places. Having a ceiling lamp that is

solar and made of bamboo is a relief for the owner but also the condition of the lights

because they'd be placed outside.

The adhesive used in the manufacture of bamboo flooring can cause the release of

volatile organic chemicals (VOC) into the air around the house over time. The process of

shredding and slicing the bamboo grass plant, including the adhesion of pieces back

together with the use of heat and a resin-based adhesive and pressure could cause the

emission of VOCs.Although it is the positive property of bamboo to be water-resistant,

being a natural material composed of organic elements, this can still be vulnerable to

excessive moisture. The molds that have been built on the wet surfaces will accumulate

over time and that should cause the degradation of the bamboo. Due to bamboo’s high

starch content, if the levels of sap or humidity are high, this plant is rather vulnerable to

natural elements. Insects, fungus, rot, and fire may easily take advantage of harvested

bamboo if it’s not cut, treated, and stored correctly. There are ways to treat it naturally,

like air drying or using heat, but some manufacturers use harmful chemicals, like

formaldehyde and arsenic. Although chemical emissions are relatively low, it’s still

something to consider determine Considering how little regulation there is of bamboo as

a building material, it can be tricky to tell what you’ll get out of the product. are

numerous components of the quality of bamboo, and it’s not always easy to differentiate

from company to company. It all depends on the species of bamboo, where it was grown,

the age at which it was harvested, plus the treatment and finish. Additionally, there is

insufficient data on how well bamboo floors can be refinished, putting the longevity of

your floor at risk.

Bamboo has an unparalleled growth rate in the plant world. Some types of

bamboo can put on 35 inches a day! Because the regeneration rate for bamboo forests is

much quicker than any other woody plant, it’s a far superior sustainable choice.

Technically, bamboo is grass and not wood and its unique tissue lends itself to be an

incredible building material. It’s different from other grass plants like sugar cane and

corn, as it becomes harder over the years with a wood-like toughness. Bamboo functions

essentially the same as wood, with no special installation techniques required. The

harvesting and installation of bamboo are fairly simple. It’s easy to cut, has no bark to

peel during processing, and its lightness makes it ideal to handle, transport, and store.

There are also numerous looks and options, allowing you to truly customize the bamboo

to your home. For example, you can opt for bamboo flooring in various stains or types

that appear to be standard hardwood floors. Aside from bamboo’s rapid growth rate, the

production of bamboo also yields benefits to the planet. A complex root network anchors

the soil down, preventing erosion when rain or flooding occurs. It also helps the soil

retain water, aiding in moisture regulation throughout the rainy and dry seasons. Bamboo

also absorbs more tons of CO2 than trees, due to its extreme growth rate. The booming

market for bamboo could be a boon to our environment.

This leads us to create a product that can help the environment by creating a solar

ceiling lamp powered by the solar system and the materials we use are eco-friendly. The

advantage of our ceiling lamp is you can charge it with the help of the sun, this also can

help u with electricity because you don't need to charge it with the help of electricity so

you can save electricity and this can save you money.

According to DENR pursuant of section 19 of the presidential Decree No. 705, as

amended, otherwise known as the "Revised Forest Code of the Philippines ", E.O No.

318 series of 2004 (Promoting Sustainable Forest Management of the Philippines) E.O

NO 879, s. 2010 (Creation of the Philippine Bamboo Industry Council), E.O No. 193, s.

2015 (Expanding the coverage of the national greening program), malacañang

memorandum circular No. 30, s. 2012 (Implementation of the Philippine Bamboo

Industry Development Program), DENR Administrative Order (DAO) No. 2004-16

(Prescribing Revised Schedule of Administrative Fees), and DAO No. 2019-22

(Adoption of Foresty Investment Road Map), the following rules and regulations

governing the establishment, harvesting, and transport of bamboo poles are hereby

promulgated.

It is the policy of the State to ensure the sustainable utilization, development,

management, protection, and conservation of the country's forest and other natural

resources including Non-Timber Forest Products for the benefit of the present and future

generations. It also provides for a self-reliant and independent economy allowing for the

equitable distribution of opportunities, income, and wealth.

This aims to encourage the establishment of bamboo plantations and to promote

the sustainable use of bamboo as a wood substitute in support of the development of

bamboo-based industries in the Philippines. Specifically aims to:

Increase the productivity, supply, and access to bamboo resources in support to

the development of the Philippine bamboo industry.Provide a system for sustainable

harvesting, transport, and use of bamboo resources.Accomodate other support activities

such as research and development, processing and marketing; and Contribute in

mitigating the impacts of climate change and attaining environmental stability.

Ceiling lamps are made of bamboo. This sturdy bamboo ceiling lamp is friendly

to the environment. What makes this study impossible is the idea of the researchers to

create an eco-friendly ceiling lamp made of bamboo whose source of energy is the

sunlight. The researcher wants to develop a product using bamboo, which is usually used

for building materials. The product is an eco-ceiling lamp. The researcher's aim to help

preserve cultural material by using bamboo to create an eco-friendly sulfur-bamboo

ceiling lamp is an efficient way to use bamboo.

The researchers wanted to introduce a product in the market that will influence

other people to be environmental friendly. A product that economic friendly that suitable

for their preference in the field of gardening and living room esthetics look with this

small effort contribution that can save the earth.The researcher aim this study may have

greate a contribution for a healthy environment.

Statement of the Proble

This study aimed to create and evaluate a new product "ChrisShaMaRa;

Multifunctional Ceiling" of the calendar goal 2023. Specifically, it seeks to answer the

following questions:

in terms of the following:

Significant of the study

This research focused on the marketability of ChrisShaMaRa;

Multifuntional Ceiling. The study can significantly help the marketing strategy of the

business as it helps to provide key insights and information.

The results of the study will greatly benefit the following:

Prospective Customers. This study's findings will sopport potential customers'

financial choices when buying the goods in accordance with their personal preferences.

Company Owners. This study will also assist pottery shop owners in determining

whether or not they ought to think about offering an eco-friendly ceiling lamp. They will

learn from study''s findings whether eco-ceiling are papular with customers.

The researchers or producers. The study's findings will direct any subsequent

product development to ensure that it is appropriate for the market for which it is

designed.
