FACTORS INFLUENCING BUCET 2022 APPLICANTS’ CHOICE TO TAKE SOCIAL WORK

AS AN UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to investigate the factors that influence the BUCET 2022 applicants’

choice to take Social Work as an undergraduate degree. Specifically, the following are the

questions that the study aims to answer:

1. What is the socio-demographic profile of the BUCET applicants in terms of:

a. Age;

b. Sex;

c. Location; and

d. Monthly Income of the Family

2. What factors influenced the BUCET applicants’ choice in selecting Bachelor of Science

in Social Work as a degree in terms of:

a. Personal Factors;

b. Social Factors;

c. Economic Factors; and

d. Institutional Factors?

3. What level of influence does the identified aspects have in the respondent’s decision of

selecting Bachelor of Science in Social Work?
