4. Use authentic instructional materials.

5. Critical thinking must be developed.

4. Accomplishing Class Records and
Grade Sheets

BE FLEXIBLE.
◦ Understand that students are in the period of adjustments,
too, in the in-person classes. Accept submission of late
outputs. Give special quiz to those with valid absences like
illness, death in the family, etc.
START CHECKING AND RECORDING.
Avoid compiling outputs. Quizzes may be checked in class.
Assignments or outputs must be given back for immediate
feedback.
REMINDERS RE: RECORDING
ORGANIZE CLASS RECORDING.
◦ Put the Lesson Topic and the Date when the Quiz or
Assignment is given.
USE RUBRICS OR CRITERIA
Students must be informed about the rubrics or
criteria in grading outputs. These must be presented
as you introduce the task, not after or during the
checking.
REMINDERS RE: RECORDING
SUBMIT AUTHENTIC RECORDING.
◦ Make sure to record raw scores accordingly. If adjustments
be made, make sure you still do them objectively with basis.

SUBMIT with enough number of quizzes and outputs.

◦ Ideally, there must be at least 6 and maximum of 10 written
work (short quizzes, graded formative activities) for the 4-
hour a week subject and at least 3 major performance tasks.
◦ For PE, there must be at least 3 WW and 2 PTs.
REMINDERS RE: TEST
CONSTRUCTION
SUBMIT DRAFTS.
◦ Exams must be checked in terms of content,
grammar structures, and types. No exam will be
printed unless checked and noted.
Construct exam using the Bloom’s Taxonomy as
guide.
◦ Balance the level of difficulty and test type.
. 6. Other Matters/ Reminders
1. BE DYNAMIC.
Provide lectures, and other meaningful and
appropriate strategies or techniques in the
instructional delivery.
2. BE ACTIVE AND PROACTIVE.
Join activities, volunteer when there are tasks, and
be part of the family.
REMINDERS
3. BE PUNCTUAL.
Attend class on time, finish on time, and submit
requirements on time. Let us model punctuality
to our students.
4. BE CONSISTENT.
School policies and rules for implementation
must be consistently implemented.
5. Students’ Concerns and General
Feedback

A. CONCERNS
Attendance
Punctuality
Dropping out due to financial concern/ family issue/ lovelife
Transferring strand/ school
Following rules
Time management due to being “young parents”
B. General Feedback
POSITIVE
Teachers provide very good PPT presentations that help
students understand the lessons more easily.
Teachers teach us cheerfully. They give clear
presentations and teach us to be good students.
Teachers are very kind, easy to approach, and also giving
consideration to those who are late in submission.
Teachers are very effective and efficient.
Active, approachable, knowledgeable
Some teachers do unique activities for fun
and enjoyment.
Teachers provide applicable lessons that help
us in our strand.
Strict but loving to their students.
Teachers ask us before proceeding to a new lesson.
Active, approachable, knowledgeable
We have not encountered teachers with bad
attitude. If they are strict, they do it for us to be
disciplined.
They are kind, always take care of the class, active,
provide clear discussion, friendly
Teachers are nice, very considerate, and
knowledgeable about the subjects. They
consistently give home-based activities and are
considerate about the time for submission. We also
gained a good amount of self-confidence.
Lessons are easy to understand because teachers
discuss them clearly. We thank our teachers who do
not give home-based activities when they know we
already have a lot.
Teachers consider their students’ weaknesses
and help them overcome these by giving some
helpful activities, being kind and giving feedback
in a positive way.
Teacher do not give us any fear when
approaching them. They are willing to listen
and understand their students with their
complaints, questions and clarifications.
Grateful to have teachers like them who are
supportive.
B. Suggestions for Improvement
Teachers are kind but somehow they need also to be
strict to those who are naughty.
No suggestion regarding teachers but about the
wyteboard.
Please slow… down a bit when talking for us to digest the
lessons and understand thoroughly.
Please update PPT in Gclass for notes or reviewer.
B. Suggestions for Improvement
Have fun and exciting activities.
Provide examples about a certain topic.
Some students are distracting so teacher must be strict
and give them penalty.
Teachers should be more strict because some students
are very stubborn and sometimes disrespectful.
B. Suggestions for Improvement
A teacher always gives format but the format is too
complicated. When discussing, we cannot understand the
explanation.
Some of my classmates are too noisy and disrespect the
teacher and some are joking about some unnecessary
things. Teacher must be strict in this case.
SYNTHESIS
Be strict, but kind.
Be patient, not tolerant.
Be compassionate, but not to a fault.
DO NOT SPOIL the kids. DO NOT MAKE
THEM THINK EVERYTHING IS OK.
LET US BE ONE IN MAKING
THE SHS DEPARTMENT
A HOME FOR LEARNING.!
