To be after: estar detrás de/en busca de.

To be around: estar cerca/ por los alrededores.


● I’ll stay two more hours, so i’ll be around in case you need some help.
To be away: estar fuera/ lejos.
● Sharon is not in town, she is away for this week.
To be back: estar de regreso.
● Lili is back from he vacations in miami.
To be behind with: estar retrasado con…
● I slept, and i am behind with my proyect now.
To be down with: caer enfermo.
● My sister is down with flu, so she’ll have to stay in bed.
To be off: irse/cancelarse/ terminar de trabajar/ descomponerse.
● The flight was off due to bad weather.
● the butther is off.
To be on: criticar algo/ acontecer.
● the party is on next Sunday.
● Adams always is on to mateo.
To be out to: intencion de hacer algo firme.
●This year i’m out to get my degree. ( este año quiero graduarme como sea).
To be over: terminar/ estar de visita en algo de alguien.
● It’s all over between them.
● Im going to paris this week, i’ll be over at my friend’s house.
To be through with: terminar con algo.
To be up to : ser responsable de/ estar involucrado en algo deshonesto.
● I know she is up to no good.
● it’s up to you to decide whether to go or not. ( es tu responsabilidad decidir si ir o
no).
To be well up on: saber mucho de algo.
● She is well up on everything related to art. (Ella sabe muchisimo sobre arte).
