According to the 1960 census, 10% of Gaddang were non-Christian. Gaddang population reached 43,150
in 1979. Gaddang and Yogad had 30,778 people in 2000, 2.4% of Isabela's 1,286,515 total. No records
were found in their other provinces.

Location:

Gaddang is located in northern Nueva Vizcaya, particularly Bayombong, Solano, and Bagabag on the
western bank of the Magat River; southwestern Isabela, namely Santiago City, Angadanan, Cauayan City,
and Reina Mercedes on the Cagayan River for Christianized people; western Isabela, along the edges of
Kalinga and Bontoc, in the towns of Antatet, Dalig, and the barrios Gamu and Tumauini for non-
Christianized communities, together with some of eastern Cordillera Administrative Region's Ifugao and
Mountain Province.

- Many Gaddang live in the highlands of southeastern Kalinga-Apayao and eastern Bontok
and Isabela provinces. Other groups have abide in the middle Cagayan Valley on the
eastern side of the Cordillera, where tributaries of the river merge. The Christianized,
lowland Gaddang are now almost indistinguishable from the Ilokano and Ibanag peoples
of the valley, but the highlanders still maintain a unique culture, including what is
perhaps the most opulent attire on the island of Luzon, involving plentiful beads and
precious stones.
