POWER - Refers to the capacity of one person who has over the other person to get the individual to
do something.
LEADERSHIP will focus on using leadership downward to influence others to help them achieve their
tasks.
POWER uses influence to gain something upward or laterally.
POWER TACTICS are measures used to demonstrate potential power, cause perception of power, or
exercise of actual power to influence other party (in short, pagkukumbinsi sa taumbayan)

TYPES OF POWER TACTICS


❖ LEGITIMACY – This comes from having a position where power is associated with status or rank.
For example, a vice president has legitimate power due to his or her position. If the vice president
gives his or her employees an order, they have to follow that order.
❖ RATIONAL PERSUASION – This power usually comes from someone who is an expert in their
field and is based on using logic and evidence to influence others.
❖ INSPIRATIONAL APPEALS – A tactic that builds enthusiasm by appealing to emotions, ideas,
and/or values.
❖ CONSULTATION – A tactic that focuses on getting others to participate in the planning process,
making decisions, and encouraging changes.
❖ EXCHANGE – A tactic that refers to friendship and loyalty while making a request.
❖ PERSONAL APPEALS – A tactic that refers to friendship and loyalty while making a request.
❖ INGRATIATION – A tactic that emphasizes on getting someone in a good mood prior to making a
request. It includes being friendly, helpful, and using praise and flattery.
❖ PRESSURE – A tactic that focuses on demanding compliance or using intimidation or threats.
❖ COALITIONS – It prescribes getting others to support your effort to persuade someone.

IMPRESSION MANAGEMENT – The process by which individuals attempt to control the impression
others form of them
❖ People may misinterpret themselves in situations of high uncertainty or ambiguity.
❖ Misrepresentations may discredit the individuals - seen as insincere or manipulative.
CONFLICT – is a process that begins when one party perceives that another party has negatively
affected, or is about to negatively affect, something that the first party cares about.

VIEWS OF CONFLICT
❖ TRADITIONAL VIEW OF CONFLICT – It is the early approach to conflict which assumed that all
conflict was bad and to be avoided. The conflict was treated negatively and discussed with such
terms as violence, destruction, and irrationality to reinforce its negative implication.

❖ INTERACTIONIST VIEW OF CONFLICT – In this view, people started to accept conflict as an


integral and somewhat positive aspect. It states that a minimum level of conflict is beneficial for
the group because it maintains a certain level of creativity, self-evaluation, and competition among
the individuals.

TYPES OF CONFLICT
1. TASK CONFLICT – Work content and goals.
2. RELATIONSHIP CONFLICT – Interpersonal relationships.
3. PROCESS CONFLICT – How the work is done.

GAME MECHANICS
GAME 1: ELIMINATION ROUND
● Ang host ay magpapakita ng word bank na maaring nandon ang words na ipapahula. Sa oras na
ibigay ng host ang 3 salita na kailangan mahulaan, mag oon cam ang bawat members ng grupo at
tatakpan ang kanilang mga mata gamit ang mga kamay. Lahat ay mag-tatakip except sa
mag-dedescribe ng salita.
● Ang dalawang miyembro na maglalaro ay kailangang magopen cam sa buong oras ng laro. Ang
isa ay ang magdedescribe while ang isa ay huhula kung ano man ang idinidescribe. Ang mga
words na idedescribe ay iikot sa tatlong categories named LEADER/ POLITICIANS, SUPER
HEROES at PROFESSIONAL WORKPLACE (could be a thing in a workplace, a person or a
pangyayari na nangyayari sa workplace)
● 1ST PLAYER = MAGHUHULA; 2ND PLAYER = MAGPAPAHULA & MAGDEDESCRIBE

GAME 2: FINAL ROUND

● May APAT (4) na game categories at bawat category ay may TATLONG (3) tanong.
● Ang lahat ng members sa Top 3 Groups ay maaaring sumagot gamit ang RAISE HAND button.
Ngunit, kailangan nilang hintayin ang GO SIGNAL at ang pag-raise hand ng moderator.
● Upang maiwasan ang dayaan, kung sino ang pinaka-unang magtaas ng kamay KASUNOD NG
MODERATOR ang siyang maaaring pumili ng question card ng kaniyang gustong category at
amount.
● Kada tanong ay may katumbas na value na naayon sa kanyang kahirapan. May EASY ($100),
AVERAGE ($200), DIFFICULT ($300) questions per category.
● TAMANG SAGOT = + individual points & + group points
● MALING SAGOT = - $50 sa group
● WALANG SAGOT = chat STEAL sa chatbox (NOTE: Hindi pwedeng mag-steal ang members na
nasa same group sa hindi naka-sagot)
● Ang group na may PINAKAMATAAS NA PERANG NAIPON ang tatanghaling PANALO.
Samantala, pipiliin din ang TOP 3 INDIVIDUAL SCORERS na makakatanggap ng special prizes.

GAME 2 CLUES OF THE CATEGORIES


CATEGORY 1 – Basic Quiz
CATEGORY 2 – Para siyang match the picture to the correct answer. For Example: May dalawang
pictures which are A and B. May dalawang choices given, i-i-state nyo lang kung ano si A and kung ano si
B. All questions are related na nasa reviewer na to.
CATEGORY 3 – May ipapakitang video and huhulaan nyo kung what type of power tactics siya.
CATEGORY 4 – May picture game like combination of random words the get the correct word and may 4
pics 1 word.
