ASSESS:

Design an activity to develop your learner’s speaking skill. Below are the
given activities:

1. Rhymes

Use Bean Bags. The teacher will start to say the word ”hat” then pass the
bean bag to the student. The student will think of a word that rhymes
“mat”, and then give the bean bag to another student “bat”. The game
continues with the bean bag being passed around to different students
until no one can think of more rhyming words. That student then gets to
say a new word and the game continues.

2. Dialogues

A teacher divided the class into two groups to perform their favorite story.
The first group performs the turtle and the hare story by role playing and
the second group plays the story of snow white.

Therefore, the students speaking skills develops and not only makes the
students fluent in speaking but also makes them creative and increase
their confidence. The students are being responsible in taking a part and
mastery of the dialogue to perform by memorizing.

1. What do you think is the most effective activity in writing for grade
one pupils? Explain your answer.

Answer: Crafty writing, in which the pupils draw a picture and write
about it. With writing utensil adds a creative twist and makes more
writing enjoyable. In enables them to widen their imagination and
skills in writing.

2. State the importance of writing.

Answer: Indeed writing is an important part of our life. It was


learning from pre-school age until we became getting older there
was a lot of things we figured out about writing and how it is
helpful in daily life. Writing everyday increases creativity. Good
ideas for writing on different topics will come out. Writing daily
gives us the confidence that we can write whatever topic we
want. So that writing skills allows a person to organize and present
their thoughts clearly. Even in a single word can change thoughts
of people.

1. Why is it important to teach viewing to learners?

Answer: Teaching viewing is important to learners to become more


effective, active and critical viewers to be able to participate fully in
society. It also helps the learners to acquire different information and
appreciate ideas and experiences visually communicated by others.

2. How do you teach viewing to learners?

Answer: for example I am presenting a video to my students, and then


after the video played I will ask a question about my video presenting
and my learners would think what happens to the video. It’s important
that students are aware that understanding the viewing process is as
important as understanding the listening and reading process.
