4. Click Microphone under App Permissions on the sidebar
5. Enable both “Allow apps to access your camera” and “Allow desktop apps to access your
camera”

For Mac users:


1. Go to System Preferences -> Security and Privacy
2. Under Privacy Tab:
a. Look for Camera, and make sure that Google Chrome is checked for privacy access
b. Look for Microphone, and make sure that Google Chrome is checked for privacy
access
c. Look for Screen Recording, and make sure that Google Chrome is checked for privacy
access

Password for MCQ exam For MCQ exams a password is required for you to access your exam. This password is auto
populated by IRIS. IRIS must activate as soon as you open your assessment, and you must then
complete all the steps correctly to start the invigilation process. If IRIS was activated and the
process was completed correctly then the password will be auto populated and you will have
access to your exam. If for some reason the password was not filled in, or you get access denied
error even though the password was filled do the following:
• If IRIS is open then close it.
• Logout of my exams
• Clear your Browser cache. .(Hold down CTRL+SHIFT+DEL and the click Clear Data)
• Close your browser.
• Open your browser and start your exam again.
• Complete all instructions, ensure your screen is shared and Start Invigilation
Wait a few seconds for the password to autofill. Do not change the password, or enter your own
password .

NB. do not allow your browser to save the IRIS password since it changes from exam to exam!

Click on the little puzzle symbol on top-right corner of Chrome/Edge where the extensions are.
Right-click on the three dots (vertical for Chrome/horizontal for Edge) next to IRIS  and choose
"finalise recordings". This should open IRIS in Finalising mode (it will only open if you are on the
Exam/Test site). You will see on the screen if you have any recordings to upload. If necessary,
click on the line at the bottom which says "finalise uploads". If there is a big green tick on
bottom-left then everything has been uploaded successfully.
