purposes they aim to deliver for their audiences with
their content, which are to inform, educate, entertain
and to generate income.
Radiotimes magazine informs their audience by
releasing the upcoming guides and schedule for TV
and radio for the week (Monday-Sunday).
The second purpose which is to educate the audience is about assisting the
audience to learn and discover new things that they may not have already
known. An example of this could be the coverage in the RadioTimes magazine
could be them educating their audience of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 year
Reign which has been captured ever since she was born.
The third purpose which is to entertain is about making the audience interested
and engaged with the content they are reading. Examples to show this are of the
images, exclusive interviews and puzzles.
The fourth purpose is to generate income which involves selling the actual
magazines and the advertisements in them for income.
