Immediate Media Company

Immediate is a special interest content and platform


company. They employ 1000 people and have eight
divisions. Immediate Media company was founded
in 2007 in West London and the CEO is Tom
Bureau. The parent organisation is a company
called Hubert Burda media and they were founded
in Offenburg, Germany in 1905. Immediate Media are also a mass media company
because they produce magazines and websites which reach a mass audience. They
produce different brands and magazines for a wide range of people to enjoy such as
history magazines, food magazines, gardening magazines, science magazines and kids
magazines. This means they reach a wide range of audiences with the products. It is
also a multinational company because its products are distributed in more than one
country. It is also a cross media as they create more than one type of media product as
they produce magazines and websites.

Gardener’s World is owned by Bauer Media and Garden Answers is owned by
Immediate Media. These two magazines are very similar as they both have the same
purpose in the magazine industry, which is to inform, educate and entertain the
audience with garden based content. They are both the same genre and this will create
a battle to which one sells the best and it is like a competition to be able to sell more.
They both have the same target audience which will be people who love gardening. As
the products compete this also makes the two companies that own them competitors
too.
Mountain Biking is owned by an Immediate Media Company and What Bike is owned by
Bauer Media. These two magazines are very similar as they both have the same
purpose in the magazine industry, which is to inform, educate and entertain the
audience with biking based content. They are both the same genre and this will create a
battle to which one sells the best and it is like a competition to be able to sell more.
They both have the same target audience which will be people who love biking. As the
products compete this also makes the two companies that own them competitors too.
