For K = 1, plot the system polar plot.
Find the system steady state response for an input 𝑟(𝑡) = 𝐴 sin(0.01𝑡) + 𝐵 sin(5𝑡)

Problem 3
A feedback control system has the shown configuration.
a) Plot the Bode diagram of the of the open loop transfer function of the system.
b) Determine the values of the error constants 𝑘𝑝 , 𝑘𝑣 , 𝑘𝑎 .
c) Compute the steady state velocity lag error for a velocity input of 40 rad/s.

Problem 4
The closed loop transfer function of a feedback control system is given by,

a) Plot the frequency response curve of the closed loop system.


b) Determine the peak resonance and the resonant frequency, and damping ratio of the system.
c) Compute the estimated value of settling time for a step response.
d) Determine the second order system which will produce the same peak magnification and
peak frequency determined for the original system.
e) Check your answers using Matlab Bode and step plots.
f) Compare the step and frequency characteristics of the original and second order systems.
