HOW ITS GOING

● PEAK SEASON
- Since agriculture was developed and termed in Harvard University, the United
State of America was the first country who used it. The 1950s and 1960s saw
an increase in the popularity of agriculture. The first item used is related to
agricultural goods. These include growing, processing, moving, and
distributing crops. In other words, it grew swiftly in the first year when
business and agriculture were associated since it helps agriculture raise
sales, diversify agriculture, and distribute various items related to agriculture
over the world. The Philippines, of course, did not lag behind when
agribusiness started to gain popularity around the world. In addition, the
Philippines was dubbed an agricultural nation due to its favorable geography
and tropical climate, which also made farming and fisheries the country's two
largest agricultural sub-sectors. Furthermore, sugarcane, palay or rice,
coconut, and bananas are some of our most important and top export crops.
Because it is more lucrative, agribusiness has grown to be one of the most
significant industries in the Philippines. The majority of Filipinos are more
involved in agriculture-related businesses, such as those involved in raising
crops, raising animals, logging and forestry, fishing, and providing support
services and manufacturing. As a result, the Philippines' agriculture
centralized. People can access it quickly since even in the sari-sari store,
there are agribusiness products that can be just easily bought.

● HOW IT AFFECTS AGRICULTURE

- Agribusiness financing may boost the added value of raw materials, support
regional rural economies, improve food security and nutrition, and raise the
standard of living in many homes that are vulnerable to exclusion. Insofar as it
generates a surplus that can be used to acquire industrial machinery,
construct roads, and offer public services, agriculture may also be a source of
the capital required for industrial development. Investments in the agricultural
sector can help fight poverty and advance local development because it is the
primary economic activity in rural areas. According to economic experts,
agriculture is currently a more profitable industry. The Philippine economy is
significantly influenced by agriculture as well. It employs roughly 40 percent of
Filipino employees and generates 20 percent of the country's GDP on
average. Over 3 million people, or almost 60% of those who are gainfully
employed, receive employment through it. Around 40% to 45% of the entire
national GDP and roughly 75% to 80% of the country's exports come from
agricultural enterprises. As time goes by, technology continues to improve
and this is where agriculture begins to become modern or more modern.
Because of agribusiness, it also helps agriculture treat the different aspects of
raising agricultural products as an integrated system. Farmers raise animals
and harvest fruits and vegetables with the help of sophisticated harvesting
techniques, including the use of GPS to direct operations. Manufacturers
develop increasingly efficient machines that can drive themselves. Processing
plants determine the best way to clean and package livestock for shipping.
While each subset of the industry is unlikely to interact directly with the
consumer, each is focused on operating efficiently in order to keep prices
reasonable. Also because of agribusiness, agriculture has changed a lot and
also, it affects the whole world. Countries with farming industries face
consistent pressures from global competition. Products such as wheat, corn,
and soybeans tend to be similar in different locations, making them
commodities. Remaining competitive requires agribusinesses to operate more
efficiently, which can require investments in new technologies, new ways of
fertilising and watering crops, and new ways of connecting to the global
market.
