Introduction
The student library was last improved for 15 years ago. It is unpleasure It has become an
unpleasant place and the air inside is stalledstale. A lot of students do not use the library,
because the chairs are uncomfortable, and the lightening is uncertainenough. All students know
that the university has a small budget for a renovation. I would like to offer free help from
volunteers and to refresh the décor, lightening and seating.
Seating
All chairs and tables are uncomfortable, also a partsome of them have broken parts. The first
suggestion from me was plastic seating, it was a cheaper option. Unfortunately, they are
extremally extremely painful for longer usinguse. I checked the prices of new tables and chairs,
but they are too expensive for our budget. I remembered that there are websites for second-
hand furniture, and we could look shop around. I suppose there are a lot of things, which could
be used for the library.
Lightening
Users report that the light is too weak. We could replace them with new energy-saved saving
bulbs or to use new LED spots.
Décor
The décor could be refreshed with light yellow wall paint. We could hang portraits of famous
scientists on the walls, next to them we could hang newspapers daily. The students from The
Design Department could help with wall decoration.
Conclusion
All reported proposals could help us to renewing the library with small budget.
The students will be proud of that they were have helped with the new vision of The Library
and would no doubt feel welcome here.
Rewritten Version
Introduction:

The student library was last renewed 15 years ago. It has become an unpleasant place and the
air inside is stale and bad-smelling. A lot of students do not use the library, because the chairs
are uncomfortable. The lighting is not enough, when students read books. All students know
that the university has a small budget for a renovation. I would like to offer free help from
volunteers and to refresh the décor, lighting and seating.

Seating
All chairs and tables are uncomfortable, also some of them have broken parts. I was thinking
about plastic chairs and tables as a cheaper suggestion. However, they cause pains in our back. I
checked the prices of new tables and chairs, but they are too expensive for our budget. I
remembered that there are websites for second-hand furniture, and we could shop around. I
suppose there are a lot of things, which could be used for the library.

Lighting
One of the easiest ways to the library lighting is to remember that natural light can be a big part
of the plan overall. Natural light has several benefits such as improving concentration and
emotional well-being while helping to lower operating costs of artificial lighting. The classic
school library has been modernized due to digitization, but it still holds the various classic
functions. Here students have the opportunity to study, group work or information search. The
students report that the light is too weak. We could replace all old spots with new energy-
saving bulbs or use new LED spots.

Décor
The most common reason for children and young people to use the library was access to
interesting reading materials, closely followed by libraries being seen as friendly and relaxing
spaces. The décor could be refreshed with light yellow wall paint. We could hang portraits of
famous scientists on the walls, next to them we could hang newspapers daily. The students
from The Design Department could help with wall decoration. We can make a help desk.
Although it may appear like a reception area, every library usually has some form of help desk
where students and staff can ask questions or gain access to resources.
Conclusion
All reported proposals could help us to renew the library with small budget.
The students will be proud that they have helped with the new vision of The Library and would
no doubt feel welcome here.
